I think this bothers people so much becuase there's only a limitid number of MOC's.
And like others said, once opend they can never go back.
And no one can tell me that they have only seen one pony MOC - never loose. And use that as an excuse to get the pony cuz' they have never seen it.
In my eyes MOC's are something completely different than the loose. They are a whole other type of collection. That's why I think it bothers people who collect MOC's too see those who doesn't care at all buying them right in front of their noses just to rip them open -taking away another piece of a whole other kind of collection.
Sure - when you pay for it it's yours. No one can argue with that. But like others said, why not buy a loose one since you collect loose ponies and leave the MOC ponies for the MOC collectors.
Like buying a rare Spiderman figure if you're not a Spiderman-collector right infront of all the serious collectors just because you can? Money makes a difference but so does sentimental value if you can put it that way. Too MOC collectors MOC ponies means something.
I mean - I have MOC ponies that still look like they did when they came out of the facotry... Years beafore I even was born. Now that's cool.
Besides - if the pony do get ruind by the card and you just can't see it snce it's on the card, then it's better to have it on the card, not kowing or seeing that the pony is ruind than open it and find out.
Totaly agree with Glorfindels last post as well.
But just like I thought this has feard this has turned out to a debate wheather or not you should open or not open them - which wasn't the original question =/ Good too see that things are still calm though =P
