Lol i just need to do the hair on mine did all the details today and ordered the hair so shouldnt be too long until ive finished might make another one different for myself but same theme. not one on my list lol.

i know im not apart of this swap, but i would like to see how it goes. i dont see how this will work out. all te mommys and ss mommys have their babies already. only 2 babies match the te and 14 babies match the ss. how would you go about making a baby who isnt a ss or te a mommy to match? just curious is all. now if it was the other way around, make a baby for a childless pony, then that idea would work.
 
it does seem a bit confusing when things like this are brought up and other members are thinking, huh? i thought this swap was for making a baby that does not have a mommy at all. like baby yo yo or baby cuddles or baby rainfeather. like those babies. it would be hard to make bbe ribbon a bbe mom ribbon.
 
cant wait to see these new mommy ponies. even better to see them with their baby. is it just mommy ponies? no daddy ponies?
 
my interpretation is you're making a matching mommy for a baby. as long as the mommy's colors and symbol (and 9 times out of 10 the breed) match, it doesn't matter whether the set matches or not. yes, some mom and baby sets were off, like the SS mommys had BBE babys, and some of the TE mommys had FT babys. Because you picked a FT bvaby means you have to make a TE mommy? course not!

Lickety split came SS and non SS, and Baby Lickety came as BBE and FT; only half of those "match" set wise.

I see no problem with a non-fuzzy baby having a SS mommy. it'd make her even more unique.

and that being said, i've decided to go with my first idea so i'll not be doing that. so i'm not defending my own choice here, i'm just saying it's a great idea imo, and i can't wait to see all the mommys on parade XD

I'm not keen on so softs, but the idea in general doesnt bother me.

i get what you are saying. i thought it would be easier to base the mom on the type of baby she is, so they are matching. not slightly different, but still the same. like you mentioned taf earth mom, but unicorn baby. she has a mom, but a different breed. you could correct it if you wanted to or you could make an entirely new mom, never been done before.

if i had the g1 baits, i would have loved to do this swap. so many ideas for it. also there are some babies i had in mind who need a matching mom. unless, i decide later on, when i have money to spend, i could possibly do a private swap of this.
 
Off to a kinda late start, I had a car accident on Sunday, while I was strapping my son into his car seat some guy hit my door, been busy with the insurance company. I need 2 new doors on my car. But I ordered my dollyhair today and am getting ready to prep my base now.
 
oh many Ponymommy that is just horrible. is everyone alright? well, besides the car i mean...what a jerky person.

i actually might have gotten mine done today...it wasn't my first idea, buyt i ah all the stuff here for this one, buyt the only problem is that i really like it ^^; so i might end up going back to my first idea when i get home, cause the bait for that one is there ^^;

Yeah, my husband and son were in the car they are both fine, I wasnt in car the guy missed hitting me by about an inch, so I'm very lucky, especially since I'm 5 months pregnant.

Glad you guys are ok! What a jerk... Sometimes I think they must be giving out driver's licenses in Cracker Jack boxes :p

Bait is prepped. Just need to go order hair, and pick up some special paint :) My partner had such a great list, I may need to make 2 mommies so I can keep one!

This is my opinion on Rowdy_Cowgirl's "non-traditional mommy" idea as well. So softs are not my all-time favorite ponies, but the concept is fine with me.

I for one, however, will probably try to do a straight-up match of mommy and baby (just to keep things less confusing for my easily confused self).

(BTW, I'm glad you and your family are okay, PonyMommy!)
 
Omg ponnymommy u were very lucky indeed stupid driver. but glad tp hear u and ur family r doing ok shame about the car . :(

tsukikakushi lol its like ur readin my mind lol, im just waiting for the hair to be delivered should be hear today but im so happy with how shes looking im thinking of making another one for myself lol. my swap partner had a great choice to choose from i just hope they like her.


Hairs still not arrived :(
