Hi everybody! :smilepony:

Just taking a moment to try to generate some conversation regarding what kinds of features all of you may like to see implemented in the future.

What do you currently like about the site features/layout/etc?

What do you not like?

What changes would you suggest?

If you have a suggestion or preference, now is the time to say so! :winkpony:

Also please keep in mind the site is mid-upgrade, and is going to look a little funny for a while. Just hang in there!

There is one feature available on the Arena that I really wish we had (especially for sales threads) and that is the little minimize button. I'm not sure what to call it. But it shows up as a " + " or " - " sign... you know what I mean? That way I can make categories for each generation of pony I have in my sales thread and members can choose which ones to open fully, so they don't have to scroll through an entire post, just to look at the G3 stuff they actually want. It would be lovely if we could do something like that. Thanks Jewel!

I find the font a little hard to read as it's pretty small, and when I go to the Customs area- the background is all white, it makes it a little hard to focus, looks a little "unfinished". I don't know if it's just the browser I'm on or what tho. I'm a little confused as to the rules on selling? Are we allowed to mention in our customs post that the pony is for sale or can we not mention that at all? It's been ages since I've visited but it's nice to hear that you guys are staying open and are looking to revamp :satisfied:

Honestly, I think we need an Android app. :winkpony:

Hi everyone! I can't wait to see where the mlptp goes to in the next level of fandom! I have to say that I love the Misc. for Sale section on the site as its the part I check out the most. The Friends Forum has always been a great board too! Best of luck and thank you to all the hard work from the mods! I'm sure the board will continue to grow in the future!

I have to agree on that the general font is pretty darn small :p
I don't mind the white background in posts personaly, but I wouldn't mind a softer colour either ;) But I'm a pastell colour loving kind of gal and the more of that the better hehe.

I would also like to bring up the feedback system. I noticed that you can basicly only leave feedback for a person once and then edit it if need be. First time I didn't pay attention and so my former feedback was deleted when I left new feedback for a person. It would be nice with a system that allows you to leave feedback for each transaction and it comes up as an individual feedback that won't be affected by future feedback.
Dunno if that makes sense? XD

Those are the things I can think of for now :) I mean, the TP is a pretty awesome site to begin with so it's hard to find thing to complain about ;)

I kinda like it the way it is. I get too overwhelmed with a lot of forum choices. If it's MLP newsworthy, post it in one place. :)

I'm not sure if that was a serious request or not, but... it's not really feasible. Apps need to be coded and I'm not sure how many TP members are able to do that. Just saying....

Being an oldie here I've seen many people come and go,but the one thing that always remained was the fact the forum was more G1 oriented, I'd like if it stayed that way. I've always liked that this forum, was more mature than the arena. It's not as popular which is why the community here is more mature. There's also less Brony drama.

Unless the whole concept was to encourage the arena crowd over here. I liked that it's basic here, posts aren't constantly edited because someone's feelers might be offended. I might not be as much of active poster as I used to be,but I still like ponies even though I may not collect again I still have things I'll eventually sell or buy maybe so I stick around.

I've been poking around the site and here's my feedback:

- I couldn't remember my password, and requested one be sent to me. Instead of sending me a link to immediately change my password to a new one, the system sends me a new password. You can use the password for as long as you like without being forced to change it immediately. I'd like to see that changed - I don't know which system is more secure at this point (being forced to change it immediately via a link in my email, vs. getting a new generated password and just using that instead).

I realize the chances of my email AND my TP account being hacked at the same time are minimal, but it wouldn't be the first time something like that would have happened!

- I think "Events" needs to have it's own subsection on the sidebar. We now have the official fair, then meets all across the world. We should have a link just to Fair talk, then "US meets" and "International meets".

- The FAQ should be about the board, not about how to keep ponies clean. That's why we have a tutorial section.

- I LOVE the Misc. for Sale and Wanted & Freebies section. Please keep that!

- I would love to see guest artists featured via doing a banner for the site. There's nothing wrong with the one we have, but it would be fun to see different artwork from time to time! :)

Sorry if I come off demanding, I'm not trying to be!

I love the site as it is. The only thing I would like to change is, maybe a little memo or something that lets you know if you have feedback on a thread you started? Sometimes I have a few threads going at the same time and it would be nice to not have to go searching for them to see if someone asked a question ect. It would definitely help when people comment on old threads too I think. And maybe something to let us know if our PM"s have been delivered or not? And that is all from my side:winkpony:

keep chat :) it used to be so fun having a big group in chat at the same time

Already trying to make that happen :satisfied: We'll know for sure very soon!

Maintaining an appreciation for all generations as well as the friendly, warm, secure community is definitely one of our most important goals :)

I honestly really like it the way it is! It's so nice and simple and it's not as overwhelming when compared to the arena. I'll be sure to post if I do think of anything, though. :satisfied:

i cant really think of anything at the moment. i love how we can personalize our profile. keep that or add more to it if possible.

i like the idea of adding the spoilers to hide pictures or wording from anyone who decides not to click on it.

how about a way to upload pictures to threads, like the arena has photobucket as an option to upload pictures and a link of it to post to threads, might make it a bit easier for some. also cuts back on having another window open.

You can do that here, by clicking the little yellow button with the mountains on it and then putting the link from your picture from photobucket in the web url line. I do it all the time and it shows the pictures so that you don't have to have it as a download or open as a new window
