MLPTP EVENT Seeing Stars on Halloween Night (Final Challenge Discussion)

Wow, congrats to everyone, every movie poster is fantastic.

I think all of you deserve 15 points

I was not meaning to be rude or to cause offence, and I am sorry if my post has been taken that way.

I was not in any way saying that persons not from the UK were rude, that is not what I meant at all.

I often quote "Here in the UK" before I make statements, because I am aware of diversity and realise that often things I accept from my culture, rules of ettiquette, laws and traditions etc over here may not hold true around the rest of the word. That does not for a moment meant that I am saying that there is anything wrong with anybody or another country where things are done differently.

Like in this case, I've been involved in showing and judging ponies and horses, and never had a public discussion either with a judge or with a competitor where I was judging on the result. It shocked me to see what appeared to be people complaining about their marks before the judging was even complete, and I posted when shocked and I guess perhaps without choosing my words as well as I could have.

I appreciate you all filling me in on a little of your thoughts behind the posts, because sometimes if you read things and take them at face value, you can read the wrong message from a post.

I think we can all be guilty of that sometimes.

Hugs, and thanks to everyone for hunting along with me, it has been great fun.

Shlugh xx

For me, this has been all about having fun, challenging myself, pushing some boundaries (hey, I got a COWORKER to kiss a PONY!), and marveling at the ingenuity of my fellow packmates. You guys rise up to the challenge time and again and put it out there. Wolfie has graciously arranged this event for several years now, and it never fails to attract a terrific group of participants as well as provide terrific entertainment for spectators. I hope she will feel compelled to continue it in the future.

On that note...

Thank you so much Wolfie for a whole month of fun and adventure!!! I 'm looking forward to next year!!!!! I never thought that I would be a graveyard after dark ( I wasn't scared thought because I had Cotton Candy with me!) taking photos!:woot:

Roogna, I'll PM you my detailed, broken-down scoring for yours, so you understand why you got your score. I used 5 sub-categories to judge for Exactness- set-up, color, ponies, layout, and attention to detail.

BestintheWest, I'm also getting your detailed, broken down scoring sent to you via PM.

I understood how you broke it down the first time you posted :)

I guess I just don't agree with certian aspects. But your the judge, not me.

Well said, DB! Thank you, wolfie, for hosting another fantastic hunt full of challenges!

Yes thank you so much for another great year Wolfie! This would also be fun to do for another holiday like Christmas or Easter. :) Can't wait till next year!

By that I meant you'll see which points you got where, not just how I broke them down. I wrote everyone's down and kept them in case they wanted further explanation, as I know I would want if I were playing.

Oh I see! Yes that will be very helpful :)

There's always room for improvment! And I want to apologize again to any mods or members that may have taken my previous comments personally. Like I said, I was dissapointed at myself, not anyone else :D

I definatley plan on participating agian in the future! :4915:

I still haven't found out why mine was scored as being late :(
Would someone be able to tell me?

I'm so glad the points are finally revealed! I was so anxious!
I am disappointed to see I got points taken off for being late. Mine was posted at 11:49 pm which was before the deadline of Midnight. I don't really understand that.
But I guess I'm just glad it's over.
 Congrats to all those high-scorers! Y'all did great and the posters are fantastic!

Your entry was for sure late. The post time is:
11-01-2008, 12:49 AM
Which makes it almost an hour late.

Your time must not be set right like we talked about when the hunt first started. Hope this helps. Thanks!

EDIT: It looks like the time change did not adjust for this entry. We'll accept as on time.
