Mine's not lavender, mine is pale grey. I have no idea why people think she's lavender either.

I too would like to see more feathers. It's a nice detail. It's one of my favourite things about my ponies, their adorable little feathers, especially when they run.

Some artwork from Hasbro and Licensed merch despicts her as lavender and purple.
 
I had as a Windy as a kid that was bought new, and she was always a light purple. The color was way lighter than Baby Noddins' purple, but it was definitely purple, at least way back in the day. She's probably just one of those ponies that is prone to fading or discoloring, at least that would be my guess. I've seen some seriously "off" G1's, like I had a Sparkle Sky Rocket once that was almost black! She was actually kinda pretty like that though. I wish Hasbro used more primary and dark colors for the ponies instead of all of the pastels.

Agreed. At least they made so,e exclusives black (Case in point: G3 Black and blue art pony)
 
Yes, I'd so love vibrant reds, brilliant yellows, deep blues and greens. And BLACK. Pitch black Ponies with bright violet manes!

They should let us design their toys. We'd be so awesome.
 
Wow, my Windy is probably a freak, then. I bought her from someone here on the TP two years ago and she's definitely a light lilac-y color, not white or pale grey. If she looked anything like that in the pictures, I would've probably never gotten her. :p

In other news, my brain's been obsessing over Shining Armor ever since I saw Slice of Life (the FIM episode). *bangs head on wall* Why-didn't-I-buy-that-amazing-rehair-when-I-had-the-chance-he-was-only-like-15-dollars-why-why-why-why-why-UGH. Well actually I know why, 'twas because of overseas shipping costs, but still, UGH.
 
Now I'm gonna haveta dig out a Windy. Let's see what colour mine is!

Some people have strange concepts of what looks like a pony. Did you know one tried to tell me that g4 ponies look more realistic? I actually sent them picture links to a Shetland and then one of a g1 and asked them which gen resembled a pony more. Boy did they get mad! lol

I mean granted, overall, no gen really resembles an actual pony with the way the legs have no distinction from the hooves, however, I proved my point. Even if that person refused to admit it
 
Looking at three Windy's. One looks white-ish and the other two are very , very light lilac. Seems they were always this way, which is why as a kid I wondered why Windy lush was so purple. I still wanted her though. :D

Oh LaW, you know no fan can admit that they might be wrong. Better they pretend that they never received the message. LOL

To me G4s are cute, but look more like kawaii deer or bizarre little mutants. Still like 'em, but I can't deny it.

Someone on the Arena showed me their purple Windy and boy was I Wowed!
 
Purple Windy sounds beautiful.
 
My Windy is still fairly purple! But I can't do pics because it's dark now, and if I used the flash it would just wash her out. Maybe tomorrow, if no one else posts in the meantime... :)

But yeah, the Windy plush is definitely more purple than the toy! Same thing with Blossom, for that matter. Hasbro was probably limited in plush color choices.
 
Mine is a gray color also. I know she is supposed to be purple. I have seen purple ones for sale and I have often thought of getting one, but then somehow I figure I will just love the one I have and save the money for a pony I don't have. I have seen her all sorts of shades. I guess they just really messed up when mixing her coloring and vinyl together.
 
Mine are a few shades lighter than Iris' Windy. I took pics of three of them, but uploading is so hard. LOL
