Posty Pony Wrap-Up & Member Appreciation GIVEAWAY! ​

Season's Greetings, TP Fam!

And WOW, what a year it has been for us here at the MLPTP! While the production of Posty was secretly underway, we experimented with MLPTP swag back during the 2023 Fundraiser with the release of die-cut holo glitter Posty stickers that members were able to purchase in exchange for Fundraiser prize giveaway entries:

As you all know, the Fundraiser has been a key element in supporting the heavy financial burden of running the MLPTP, and made possible by members like you!

With our Fundraiser goal for 2023 met, we took a little bit of a risk and made MLPTP members' most frequent request into a reality, with the help of HQG1C: a REAL Posty Pony!

With the ever-present support of the mods, I set about learning the production process, creating the limited edition cards (featuring our lovely Posty artwork by Marco Albiero), writing the numbers and sleeving the cards by hand, designing and printing the holo sticker, creating all graphics, and of course, packing and shipping each Posty with care to destinations all around the world. The entire process on my end took several months and an indescribable amount of work, but we could not be happier with the result.

I mentioned that Posty has traveled around the world, but... where exactly did she go?

All across the globe, it seems!

In early November of 2023, MLPTP mod and die-hard Post Mapone creator and fan @Sassarazzmadazzles assembled this beautiful Posty display at the PFF convention in San Antonio, Texas, where attendees could purchase Posty in person, as well as receive an exclusive MLPTP sticker. Thank you, Sassy, for all of your hard work and mailing back and forth with me!

As of now, Posty has completely sold out. I could not be more pleased that we seem to have chosen a production number that enabled so many to be able to own Posty without selling out immediately. The financial security this project helps create for the future of the MLPTP is no small thing, and it will also help us to do more fun things for all of you!

Oh I would love to enter! Hmm it's hard to decide my favorite memory from the TP because honestly I think every time I log on it brings me so much brightness and joy! Every time I've shared my artwork on here I've gotten such kindness and positive comments that really made me feel warm and fuzzy. I think the one thing that touched me the most is that I sold my second ever custom pony here. I didn't expect that anyone would want her, but a lot of people were interested! I've always had a difficult time finding an audience for my artwork online, so the fact that so many people really liked something that I made just meant so much to me. I was so nervous to start posting here but I immediately felt so welcome, checking the forum immediately became part of my routine nearly every day! Thanks so much for creating and taking care of such a wonderful space Jewel, and thank you to the moderators as well for all the hard work you do!

May I join? :3 I havent purchased a Posty.
I think my favorite memory with the community was when I decided to join my first event on this site! It was a Bonnet contest. Due to life i had never been on the site enough to know there were events, and my best friend had just gotten me into crochet i think 3 or 4 months before as our way of coping with the pandemic lol. I remember everyone being so supportive, and it just felt really nice doing something I found comfort in, and exploring new heights with crochet and sharing it with pony friends as a mutual fun thing. It just really made me feel good. Events here always just feel like a fun group activity!

What a wonderful idea! The MLPTP is such a wonderful place, I love how it has been here for me every time I've drifted back to this hobby. And what a community! Just a couple of months ago, I was looking for the packaging from a celestial pony to use inside a different G1 box for displaying one of my ponies. @Stellaluna was SO KIND to send me not just one, but THREE full boxes with all their inserts, AND a pony! For FREE! It's that sort of thing that makes this community so very special. Big thanks to Jewel and to all the mods for making this little corner of the internet the oasis that it is!
It looks like @Stellaluna already has Posty and I also just got mine, but I wanted to share this little story again anyways! Post on!

I haven't been able to afford a Posty life has been rough this year so I really appreciate that you're doing this giveaway @MustBeJewel I hope I will be able to win one at least. I don't really have a favorite memory on the trading post as my experience on here has been always been wonderful to the friends I've made to the gifts I've gotten the events are always fun to do really everything on the trading post is my favorite for the 6 years I've been on here I have made so many fantastic memories so it's hard to choose which ones is my all time favorite memory

Oh wow this is so awesome! I'd like to enter! I just found the MLPTP this year. I was mostly looking for places to purchase ponies, I gave up social media this year so that narrowed the market for me lol! I was pleasantly surprised to find an active and positive community here, it's nice to be able to talk about ponies and learn more about them. I don't have any local pony friends so it has been nice to feel welcome here! I have had so much fun participating in activities and I am looking forward to being part of more of them in the future!

Oh this is fun! I have not bought a Posty, So I would like to enter I haven’t been a member of the MLPTP as long as a lot of other people here, but I have really enjoyed seeing the sense of community here…. Whenever I’ve had restoration or customization pony questions, there’s usually a thread on here that has had very useful information, its cool that so many people have come together to just talk about these kind of pony topics :3 But I think my actual favorite thing I’ve seen so far with my time here is the fun events! Looking through threads of older events, watching the events that were happening around Halloween, and participating in and watching some of the holiday events going on right now: It’s fun seeing the creativity and caring that everyone puts into swaps and competitions! I feel like it’s such a fun way to make new friends and connections and I can’t wait to participate in more of these events in the future >w<

I joined the MLPTP around 2003 when G3 hit the shelves. My daughter was just over a year old and I literally ran into a display end cap at Walmart and the 2-pack of Sparkleworks and Star Swirl fell into my cart. I flipped out and dove head first into the world of collecting, adding rapidly to my small childhood herd of 20. I was 3 when MLP first became reality in 1983 and I bought some G2 when I was 18 so I’ve been collecting my whole life. An online forum just made it that much more fun & accessible!

One of my favorite memories was when we were all anticipating the arrival of the giant Frilly Frocks from the Points Program. It felt like we were all collectively holding our breath and not daring to believe that we were ACTUALLY going to receive a “free” 3-ft tall plush. And then we did! And it was amazing! The celebrating and sharing pictures was so fun!

Aaaa I'd love to enter, this is so exciting!!! I haven't been ab active member here for incredibly long, I can't really think of a specific favourite memory - but I really really live the community here and how nice everything is, it always makes me feel so warm inside whenever I post something and get such kind replies!!

I only joined very recently, but it is a super nice and easy-going place, and I don't get people harassing me for loving Sprout like I do on every other site...

One of my favorite memories is probably the latest secret santa sticker swap, it was fun and exciting to participate in. I liked finding and buying stickers and wrapping them for my partner and the sticker package I received was really neat too!

Since there are simply so many lovely memories let me go back to the beginning!

My first ever experience with the trading post was in 2017 through my sister mlpc! She requested that I make her g4 twilight sparkle a star swirl the bearded costume for the mlptp costume contest and needed to have it done in only 2 days!
I rushed so hard to get what I did done and even gave up sleep to make sure she had it in time!

After that I became infatuated with the site!
I would constantly be reading and commenting on pages over my sister's shoulder!
I'd often say to her "tell them my sister says this!" And "Tell them my sister thinks that's funny!" Lol
I got so bad that after a year of kibitzing my sister finally broke down and shouted at me "why don't you just create your own account!?!"
After she said that I thought about it for about a week I felt guilty creating an account because I didn't really collect My Little Pony and I contemplated, well if I did collect My Little Pony what would I collect?
Then I remembered my G3 McDonald's minty and decided "yes this is what I shall collect!" I shall collect my favorite Pony Minty exclusively!
I will have all of her variants!
And with that Minty was the starting point of my journey into collecting mlp!
I joined with the username MegaLeafeon on june 19th 2019!
I had loads of fun hanging out with everyone as I got to know members I got to feel closer and closer to the community! I even met my best pony friend forever! @Tak!

Things went very happily and I always looked forward to the Halloween costume contest I even had a three-year in a row winning streak for my crocheted costumes!
In 2018 I entered my baby pony bushwoolie, in 2019 a crocheted baby pony Spike costume, in 2020 my first full-size Pony costume catarina!

Then in 2021 my Halloween throne was taken from me by a munchie dressed as a hot dog! My poor Flume didn't stand a chance against the cuteness of @Sassarazzmadazzles contest entry!

In 2022 I tried to make a five Pony costume monstrosity of the smooze! my ambitions were too great for this project!
I didn't properly budget my time to complete it! even now it sits on my desk waiting for the ponies to be freed from the purple yarn sludge! LOL

And my most recent addition! 2/5

And I try to forget my 2023 costume contest entry SpongeBob! @~@

On January 26th 2023 I decided that my new username didn't match my obsession so I changed my name to Mintyeon! Because I am the Minty leafeon!
And I absolutely adore the new addition of mlp Easter bonnet contests!
The Easter bonnet photos of my hats taken by @my little pony collector always turn out so gorgeously!
every spring I use them as my home and lock screen because they're just so beautiful to look at! She truly is an incredible photographer!

Ooh, I’d like to enter too if that’s okay? I haven’t got a Posty

I joined whilst searching for ways to help with cleaning ponies and restoration. I kept coming across this place a lot in my search for answers and information on ponies. I then found myself sometimes coming back just to enjoy photos of collections. When I was stumped about how to fix my Baby Sweet Steps, I decided to join. It took me a while because I have a big fear of the internet but this place has been so kind and nice. I think during my first month or two the internet fear did strike again and I did consider purging all my posts and vanishing but I decided to stick it out. I don’t think of doing that now, I love it here!

A memory? Hmm… it’s been wonderful the entire time. I’m going to have to say… I really enjoy the G-G-G-Ghost guessing games! It’s such a fun game and when it’s really close to finding out who the pony is and everyone knows, it’s just a matter of time to have your guess free to get it in. And everyone’s so supportive too here, even in the contests! It’s so nice.

This place has helped me feel more comfortable with sharing my photography and art online. When I started posting my pony photos I hung out on the photography threads a lot since I had a lot to share. I don’t post online, I don’t use social media but this place has really helped with that. Pony mail from this place feels so special too. This place, it’s just… it’s so warm. It’s so cosy. It’s so kind. I don’t know any other places online that’s this friendly and nice (and family friendly!) I’m glad I found my way here. Thank you all

One great memory (though I'm new) and one overall/general set of feels:

I felt so welcomed by @Mintyeon when I first joined. I asked her a very minty question and she replied, not only with information, but with such a friendly and warm spirit. The world needs more people like her. Thank you, @Mintyeon!

The other is just an observation of how kind and friendly everyone is. I ...ahem... left another pony place due to what I felt was a bit of meanness (Pony is a sacred, magical place for me so I can't have that ruined under any circumstance). When I came here, I didn't know what to expect but was immediately won over by you all and by what I consider the spirit of Pony is: appreciating the magic and variety brought by every individual.

Even if I never get a Posty, I appreciate all the time, hard work, and care that was put into her!

I’d love to get a Posty Love white ponies!

I had been stalking this place for years before I convinced myself to join. I’d say the most memorable for me was both of the last two fundraisings to cover the forum’s expenses. I felt a strong sense of community and desire of people to help keep their favorite hangout alive and well. I also loved all the raffle gifts and, although I was not one of the lucky winners, I found it exciting to see people’s photos in the “brag thread”.

Looking forward for more cool moments and threads to come!

Oh what a fun thing! I would absolutely adore winning a Posty! I mostly look and smile in the online forums. I love seeing the pony customs, and just feeling part of the Pony world. One of my favorite pony memories was going to my very first Pony meet in Maryland, meeting Jewel and all the other fun Pony people. Thanks for everything you do, Jewel!

My favorite thing about the TP was the traveling swap box in 2010! I miss all those swaps ... when people were trustworthy and shipping cost 75% less than it does today...

I would love to win a Posty. I just must have missed her when she was available. It's been a rough year for me time wise. I just never seem to have enough time to do much and keep up completely. I come to the forum and read as much as possible when I have a few spare minutes. I still kind of lurk about but I love the sense of community with people, all the trades that I have done and how much my pony herd has grown again since joining the fam here. It's a place I feel safe to talk about the ponies and my love of the as my family thinks I am totally insane. Only my mother enjoyed talking to me about them and wanted to see all my new ones.
