Yes I love my family and my pets. I love all my friends too. And of course I love everyone here at the TP.

But I also love Metallica.

I saw the music video for their song 'Until It Sleeps' and the rest is history.
YouTube - Metallica - Until It Sleeps (Music Video)
*video is not graphic, but may be disturbing to younger children*
*Metallica lyrics :: Metallica Until It Sleeps lyrics Lyrics*
I was 12 years old when that came out. Even being so young, I was depressed all the time. I was picked on at school constantly. I wouldn't say I was suicidal, but I know sometimes I felt like my life wasn't worth anything. I heard that one song, and it saved me from my depression. Everything I was feeling and going through was put into words and images.
My personal relation to the lyrics, deals with my heart condition. I had open heart surgery when I was an infant. Basically the left side of my heart is dead, and the right side pumps blood both in and out. My heart has to work extra hard to keep me going. I've always hated it because it makes me feel so weak. Not physically, but emotionally. I think most members know by now, that I can not have children, because of my condition. I would go into heart failure during the delivery and die. Not being able to have children, makes me feel like less of a woman. This song is my struggle to become stronger, and the hope that someday I can overcome my condition and give birth to my own child.

After I heard the song, I did a lot of research and bought all their previous albums and have continued to support them no matter what decisions they make musically or personally. They turned me on to heavy metal, and ever since they've been some of the best friends I could ask for. Every song they have, I can relate to in some form. Their music brightens my day, sympathizes with me, gets angry with me, and helps me through situations I can't deal with on my own.

I have not had the opportunity yet to meet the band face to face and chat with them. However, I have seen them live 3 times now. They are loud, fun, humble, and a true inspiration for anyone who has gone through very difficult times in their life.
The vocalist, James Hetfield, always expresses his thanks to the fans, and tells us to stick together cause we are a family.
Our love for them comes right back to us 100% every time. They are very dedicated to their fans.
I don't believe I'd be able to make it through my life without their music.
They mean so much to me, I will always love them.

And that my friends, is how the Metal Mistress came to be.

Well, I don't really collect them, but I'd like to enter anyways, even just to share my love.

My boyfriend, SuperSteef. We've dated for the last nearly ten years. We've had our ups and downs. We've broken up a couple times, the longest being a half year last year when we realized we'd never dated other people and he felt that it was something we needed to do. I didn't like the idea, but didn't have much choice really. After that painful half year we are back together. It's been a bit rough, since we now live two hours apart, but we're working through it.

Although we're having a rough year with it the brief tims we get to ourselves, just the two of us, are worth all the pain and aches we're dealing with. He's the sweetest thing in private, always ready to snuggle if I need it, or just talk. He takes me out for dinner and a movie when it's affordable, and even when it isn't. He comforts me when there's family trouble and just loves me for me.

So that's the person I love dearest, through all the rough times, he is my heart.

Id like to skip the posting as i cannot describe how much i love my honey as it is much to strong to put into words :p

Bear with me on this one, because I might get a little sappy:

The one I'm going to gush about is my husband. I met him right after I found out I had a deadly disease. He was there to hold my hand when I had to get painful shots in the stomach so I could be put on a medicine to keep me alive. He's been there with me during many, many painful and expensive tests. When I was had my first seizure almost a year and a half ago, he was the first person I saw when I came to in the ER. And most recently, when I had my second seizure while we were sleeping, he was there and called 911 and followed the ambulance so that I wouldn't be afraid when I got to the hospital and came to. Before that day, during the 8 years I've known him, he's only cried once: When his sister died in a motorcycle crash. But I found out from his mother that he called her that night when I was laying on the couch relaxing because my muscles hurt so badly that he cried because he was afraid of losing me. When I confronted him about it, he told me that you don't really realize what you have until you think you're going to lose the person you love the most in the world.

That really melted my heart more than anything he's ever done for me, and he's done alot. I really feel like I'm one of the lucky ones.

I love my hubby Jeremy. I found him on my doorstep one day while living in cold, cold Chicago. I was so stressed out going to school there, had basically given up on the idea of ever having a serious relationship again (after several failures) and I came home one day and he was on my doorstep (turns out he was my new neighbor and just waiting for the cable guy). We clicked right away and things just moved along naturally. I was sad, tho, because my school was ending in less than a year and I knew I'd have to move far away. But turns out he was willing to quit his job and move w/ me out to Hawaii!! Even though the jobs out here suck for him. So he's been my house husband for 3.5 yrs now and my stress level is SO much lower!! Now I look forward to coming home f/ work every day. Plus he even gives me my "me" time which most people don't get and he puts up w/ my crazy, which now includes my ponies! All I have to do is love him and he loves me back. He's so great!!

I love my boyfriend Kayle. He makes me happy, he makes me laugh, and he makes me feel beautiful. Plus he's always willing to listen to me :hearts: He does tease me about some of my interests (including my ponies), but that's okay. He really is a great guy :)

I also love my pet bunny Theodore. He's so adorable and loves to give me kisses. Here's a pic:

I love my charming boyfriend Pablo! We're highschool sweethearts and have been together for 5 and a half years. He's especially wonderful because he's never once frowned on my pony/makeup/clothes habits, and he's always there to fix me some pasta and cheer me up when I've had a tough day at college. He once surprised me with a trip to Argentina! Pablo is my perfect match, no doubt about it :3

i love my kitty, snickers. he's my big, fluffy fat boy. he cries at me to feed him, to go to bed, to let him outside, to want to play.

i like it when he sits on my lap and lets me pet him, lets me hold him.

he is adorable when he lays on my bed, on top of my blankets, purring and kneading on the blankets. i call it making bread. i tell him to make me bread and he does it.

he is sweet, that he will lick me with kisses as i pet him or rub his belly. his head is very kissable. i like to kiss the top of his head. when he gets snagged on something, i like to be there to save him. he can be so funny, when he is out on the balcony and spots a leaf moving. he will fetch it, bring it inside and eat it.

he looks so cute and silly, when he sits on his bottom. its like he wants to sit like everyone else does.

My husband is the absolute love of my life, I couldn't have chosen a better life partner if I tried. We met when we were 16, I started work at Coles and it was literally love at first site. I was working on the registers when he walked in to start his shift. He walked past me and smiled, his hair was still damp from his morning shower and it flopped over his face in the most adorable way i'd ever seen. My heart instantly melted and I knew he was the one for me. That's right I knew we'd be together without even speaking to him. We got together only a few weeks after that first encounter and have been together for over ten years. We still act like little school children, we are just so in love :)

Here is a photo of Michael taken on our holiday just after Christmas last year:

About two years of dating we got married and all Michael wanted was to start a family with me. Not long after I fell pregnant with the next love of my life, a little boy we named Jakob. He was so perfect just like his daddy. He loves soccer so much and dreams of one day playing in England

Here is a photo of our gorgeous boy:

We were quite content with our family until our son turned four and he wasn't a baby anymore. So we decided to try for another addition to our family. I fell prgnant very quickly and our son was convinced from the start i was having a girl and would call the baby Pinky. Two weeks after our son's fifth birthday i gave birth to the most precious and beautiful girl I had ever seen. We named her Chelsea after my favourite football team and our family is now complete. Chelsea loves cats and ponies, which the photo of her represents perfectly

Here is a photo of our real life angel:

But hold on, we realised our family wasn't quite complete yet. We needed a pet, so we found the most perfect little dog for our family. She was the runt of the litter, a little staffordshire pup we named Stella.

Here is a photo of our amazing little friend:

Oh and of course the family wouldn't be complete without me, so i'll add a pic of me too:

So there we are, the loves of my life who I am blessed to have beside me. Without each and every member of my family I wouldn't be the person I am today. I feel blessed to have my whole world with me everyday and wouldn't want it any other way.

I love my Fiance Erik. He is a truly selfless person, he cares more for taking care of others than himself. He treats me like I am the most important person on this earth. I dont think I ever really understood what love was until I fell in love with him, as I had had a long string of bad relationships prior to that. He understands my needs and my obsessions (ponies and pets, lol). We got engaged last may and I am looking forward to spending the rest of my life with him :hearts:

I love my husband. He has been a real blessing in my life.
He's my best friend and I really do not know where I would be without him.
I am unable to work because of a disability and it's also one that breaks up a lot of marriages. but he is so great about everything and is my rock. Even as I loose friends and even family has started treating my different he has not changed.
he is a wonderful man and I'm so thankful for him.

Cool! I love my husband and my daughter. Without these two my life would be nothing. I don't even know where to begin. So all I'll say is he is my very best friend and I couldn't ask for anyone better.

Aww this is nice, spread the love!

Well my love of my lifeis my fiance Simon.

We got engaged back on November, and he proposed to me, with a ring and a valentines day threamed pony:)

We've been together for 4 years come the end of April, and he's perfect.

Seriously we have everything in common, we both love manga, final fantasy, computer games, and he loves my collection on MLPs, and helps me to make it grow. He collects matachbox cars, so come the spring, we're both hitting the carboots hard and fast:)

He's the love of my life, and I wouldn't change anything about him!

I love you Simon forever and alwaysxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

please don't enter me(cause i already hav them :) give someone else a fair chance) but i did want to say i love so many things, theres to much to list. but the top ones are my hubby John,he's also my best friend & Robyn, our precious girly..I could survive without ponys, but not without Robyn & John.

I love my best friend. I would do anything for her and her family. I love her kids like my own. Her oldest use to call me "auntie wa wa" (aunt sara). I take her and the kids to the beach, the park and sledding. I would take her to the moon if she needed it. I can trust her with my life and in turn she can trust me with hers. If I need someone she is there and I will always be there for her and her family. I love her to death and couldn't imagine not having her in my life.

My best friend. We met when we were 10 years old and stayed close until we were both about half way through high school. It was then she stopped playing sports with me and got into martial arts. Our paths went separate ways.

In college we hung out a few times, it went right back to the way things were, perfect! We were so opposite, but never had a problem having fun. But again, we lost track.

Fast forward two years and I am walking my dog outside our family house. Who do I see but my best friend, turns out we lived within walking distance from each other. So from that day on we had couples dinner at each others homes on alternating weeks. We cooked together for the boys and played board games til midnight. Everything was great, our husbands got along, and we had each other again. Then I had to move for work.

Happy ending though. We went on a couples vacation to Disneyland at the beginning of the summer and she has been out to visit me once last year and I have been home to visit it her at least three or four times. And who is going to be my Valentine this year?

She is! She gets in Friday the 13th and she is all mine for the weekend!!!!! I can't wait.

Awesome picture from when we were 12 with blue hair for the swim meet.....

I've got a lot of loves in my life per-say. There is my love of collecting, especially my ponies. I love food and going on new adventures and animals. I love learning new things and a few geeky kind of things. But my biggest love would have to be that for my hubby.

We've got a fun story of how we met (and it's posted in the married people thread in friends discussion too). Well originally I was hanging out with one of my friends and he kept after me telling me he knows of this guy that I have to meet and that he was sure that we'd click. He didn't want to push me into anything, but just to get me to meet the guy. I had recently come out of a drama filled relationship of almost 3 years and I was really not ready. I didn't want to bring that emotional baggage with me. I was about to marry my ex, so I really didn't want to put those troubles on someone else, you know? Well I went with my friend to one of the local Saturday night car hang outs. There I met my future hubby. At first I kept my distance and I just wanted to be friends. What got us started talking, you're all going to laugh at this, was my curiousity about his truck. I knew what a ford f150 was, but what was a lightning? Was that some crap he had made up and put on his truck? And what was up with the other thing of the painting he had airbrushed on the tailgate? Well we got to talking and found out, we had a lot in common. I did learn that a ford f150 lightning was a supercharged version of the f150 with other racing performance modifications. I loved his truck, it was cool. I found out later on that my friend had made a deal with my hubby that if he could find him a girlfriend, he'd paint my friends car. That never happened lol. And one thing that irked me, was not that fact that he had made that deal, he was just trying to help, but what made me mad was that he was at first trying to hook up my hubby with my worst enemy. My hubby did not like her at all! Well anyways we met in September and he kept chasing me for months. He would send me a dozen roses to my house with a little note on it saying, hey, give me a chance. It was soo cute! Well after the 3rd dozen roses came to my house, my dad spoke up finally and said you need to give that poor guy a chance. Them roses aren't cheap. lol. No, they aren't. By this time it was near the end of Janurary. I finally gave it and gave him a chance. I wasn't sure I was fully ready yet and over my emotional baggage, but I'm glad I took that chance. By valentine's day, around our 2 week anniversary, he gave me a promise ring. I still wear it on a chain around my neck. Well 8 years later, we are still together and still going strong. We've been married now for 2 years this past Jan. And we found out each day that we have more and more in common. We've got just enough differences to keep things from getting repitative and stale. But we have so much in common, that we literally are each other's best friends as well. ^_^v I would do anything for him if it was within my abilities and I would not take the world for him.

My other greatest love is for my pets. My ratties. I would even sell off my pony collection if I had to to make sure that my babies got medical care that they may need. I recently just spend $200 on one of my rats to have 3 tumors removed. I warned the doctor that every black rat I've had has been very intelligent. I had that rat back at the vet's office every 2-3 days for him to fix her stitches. She had underlining stitches, sutras, overlining stitches and surgical glue and the little fart still ate thru it! But she is all better now and still trucking. She's over 2 years old now.

I just wanted to add that he knows that I like to watch it snow and we rarely get snow in my area. He just called a few minutes ago to get me to look out the window to see if it was here because where he is at right now it is a few flurries. Isn't that sweet?!
