While Jewel's house is large, you're looking at 31 people shuffling in and out of at least two rooms (possibly three) that the meet will be restricted to at all times, including tables on possibly both sides of the DJ/dance room, there's not a lot of space in there.
To clarify on the space issue.. I know you weren't aware of this yet Darcerin, so no worries of course, but there have been a lot of changes in preparation for and leading up to this year. We'll be using the entire downstairs as well as all of the wrap-around porch. Much, much more open. Space is not going to be nearly as much of a concern as it has been in previous years, since all the construction in the house is done now and the tenants are gone from the apartment wing. I don't suppose I ever clarified, but we've been doing construction for the past 2-3 years.
I even have renovated guest rooms available now for some of the overnighters on the third floor.
The house isn't small.. lol it's got nearly 50 rooms, not including bathrooms. Whatever happens, we will NOT be pressed for space. You'll see once you get here. I'm well ahead of the game as far as planning for this many people.
Even so, the
less clutter we have, the easier it is for
everyone. People are coming to share ponies, possibly if anything other 80's toys, so I want to keep the non-MLP stuff to a minimum. 30-some people bringing in all their wares and shares is going to add up fast, no matter where the venue is. Adding an excess of non-MLP things to the mix only tends to complicate things.
I will have a box of non-MLP toys and things to sell. It'll sit under my table and take up a minimal amount of space. This is what I've seen many other people do, and which I think is a good idea.
So, bring what you want, as long as it's nothing illegal or hazardous, but priority with table space goes to people with MLP items to display
I wasn't planning on selling them, but just wondering - how would they get lost or damaged if they're kept on my own table?
All she's trying to say, is that accidents happen. Your most special things are safest at home, where you know nothing will have a chance to happen to them. We'd never
expect anything to happen, but better safe than sorry. That's all.
