I'm really, really trying to like it but I'm not quite there yet! So far I am impressed with the plushiesMy hot take is that I love G5. The toys, the music, the show.. all of it. Scorching, I know!

Oh ABSOLUTELY. Equestria girls came out during monster high g2: aka the doll collector dark ages, when collectors were desperate for something to fill the hole MH G1 left behind. If those colorful little ladies were higher quality??? They would've ruled the world LOL!!I think Equestria Girls would have done better if they had had better dolls.
Equestria girls was a mistake and shouldn't have been allowed to happen.
who is Mishmash?I'll second this. It's my little pony, not my little human. If they wanted to compete with monster high, they should have made their own doll line instead of being lazy and dumping cheapo dolls into an existing brand. Or they could have tried to revitalize the jem line by making affordable dolls for the little 'uns.
Speaking of revitalizing, not a hot take but I really want Basic Fun to bring back Fairytale Birds and Keypers.
And for my hot takes of the day, I have never liked G1, Mishmash, or G4 Applejack. I don't think she's cute, and I don't get her popularity. G3 AJ is where it's at!
I also don't like G3, G4, Mishmash or G5 Pinkie Pie and I wish she'd go away. She's blandly colored and highly annoying.
The crossover and retro g4 ponies. That's just what I call them since they are a stylistic mix of 1 and 3. And they did get a decent amount of unique ponies to collect for how short lived it was. They don't seem to fit any other gen.who is Mishmash?
Ah, I thought you were naming a pony lolThe crossover and retro g4 ponies. That's just what I call them since they are a stylistic mix of 1 and 3. And they did get a decent amount of unique ponies to collect for how short lived it was. They don't seem to fit any other gen.

I liked the idea, but not how they turned out. Their proportions look so wrong. The crossover and retro g4 ponies. That's just what I call them since they are a stylistic mix of 1 and 3. The eyes look off to me. Like, they're to low and to big.I liked the idea, but not how they turned out. Their proportions look so wrong.
The proportions are fine. The low eyes, low tail, and seams are the issue.I liked the idea, but not how they turned out. Their proportions look so wrong.
I need to be told this! Lol!Hot Take: New generation ponies are designed for children to enjoy and not designed for us collectors lol (besides a few repros and such that are obviously geared towards us but those dont count)
Me too ^_^ it’s a little hard to tame sometimes but looks so prettyI LOVE tinsel! It sparkles and flashes and glitters!
I say Hasbro got so used to making g4 style ponies, they completely forget where eyeballs were supposed to go. Most of the crossover ponies are like that. She always reminded me of Shady...who is the last pony to ever deliberately go ghost hunting.I think the eyes are way too low on the Plasmane figures. Like the decal slipped. View attachment 78514
Yup! There was a thread forever ago where someone photoshopped the eyes into the proper place and they looked sooo much cuterI think the eyes are way too low on the Plasmane figures. Like the decal slipped. View attachment 78514
I don't ether, I've yet to find anything about it I like, animation looks terrible and the toys look cheap.I don't like the G5, to the point where I can't even find it in me to find something I like about them.
