I wish I had a MOC/MIB/MIP so that I could answer that. One day I will own one and I don't think I would open it. But that's just my opinion. :D

GroovyGusty - I want to say that your Gusty collection is beautiful!

I've never had a MOC G1 (one day)...But I have opened MOC G2s. Actually, I've opened all of my MOC G2s excepting Fire and Flame. The only reason I really open them is becuase they have characters in my RPs, so I want to take picfics and generally have fun with them. XD; If they didn't have characters, they'd stay in there. I'm all for keeping ponies in their plastic.

Oh, and I open all of my G3s. Oh, except my mail orders and that Butterscotch with Star Swirl's name on the box.

It's a shame that whoever it was took the word 'holy' too literally. Other than that, I want to say Im impressed with the way this post has been continued!

*Has renewed faith in humanity*

And about my money reference..what I meant was, if someone was to be looking for a MOC/MIB pony to open after searching for a mint loose one for ages it order to obtain a completely mint one, then they would be willing to pay the high amount that it would go for. So, they must have money in order to do this. What Im saying is, that if someone is willing to do that, and then moan that they have no money and they have to sell their collection, then it seems to me, they don't have their priorities straight. But I guess that's a whole different kettle of fish.

you can't even imagine the temptation to open my MOC sparkler. her hair is just so curly and cute looking.

but alas, i have never opened one. :[
well, except when i was a kid, hah. :D

Well, like other people siad, if the bubles is kind of ripped off or badly cracked she really isn't mint on card and therefor shouldn't matter (not in my eyes)
Otherwise I have a suggestion... When I got my MOC TE Masquerade I thought she was gonna be completely mint since the seller said so... Anyway, a part in the bottom of the card is loose, which you can hardly notice. And Masquerade had some dirt on her knee, So I tried and saw that I could fit in a q-tip. I put some water on it and scrubed the dirt away from her. And now she looks perfect :D

If you don't want to go through all that but want to clean her up then I think it's ok to take her out of a baddly damaged bubble. You can do it carefully so you can save the backcard :)

I opened 5 TAF babies, ohh sexy sexy! I don't regret it, hunnie! And I also opened WIA Sunny Daze, she's a fav of mine!

I think you got some parts wrong goddessofpeep.

There hasn't been much flaming in this topic. People has been very civilized here. You might be thinking of the other topic that got locked. I don't see a reason for that here.

And this is not a debate wether or not you should open a MIB or not. It's a question if you HAVE done it.
Nothing else. But like I said people has done pretty well staying in the topic here.

And I don't think it's such a good idea to continue the discussion from the other topic over here. That got locked for those reasons.

Just out of curiosity - where is the club with MOC collectors? Since I think you are thinking of the other topic that held a page with a club for those who are for opening them, I guess there really is no club for us who do collect the MOC's?
If there is I wanna join =P
