Have you ever been scammed.

well, I don't know yet. Sounds weird but I'll tell the story.

My very boyfriend decided to buy me a Mimic and you could guess that i was a liiiiittle happy :D
But at the time there were no Mimics on buy it now, so we had to bid on an auction. to be sure we'd get her we bid something over 200, and got her for 193 :)

This was the 16th of july, and I still haven't recived her :( After a few weeks I asked the seller what had happened. She said that she had gone on vacation and hadn't had the time to post her before. And I was happy that my Mimic wasn't lost in the mail.

I waited about a month, asked the seller if she's been returned or something. And the seller said she'd done something wrong at the post office and that Mimic had been sent back. I gave her my address again, and this time I really thought I'd get her, and that the seller felt guilty in a way and would send the pony faster. Note that both these times _I_ had to contect the seller, he/she didn't tell me anything before I asked.

Now it was just one day left to leave a dispute, so I did. The seller contacted me right before the time on it ran out and now sendt me a trackingnumber. So I hope I really get my beautiful little Mimic soon.

I'm so mad I can't even explain it. Of course it had to happen with Mimic, not just some random cheap pony.

:-(

Thought I would let you know about my sale to tehnologicgirl. She recently was the highest bidder on one of my items on eBay. She contacted me immediately after the auction ended. She said she did not have a paypal account and asked to pay with another online pay service. I don't remember what it was, I had never heard of it - anyway I declined. She sent me a money order for the full amount. I shipped the item and every day after the item was shipped, she contacted me to tell me she hadn't received her item yet and thought it was probably lost in the mail. I googled her username and found this forum. After reading all of your messages, I starting getting a little nervous about my sale. I noticed today, she has left me positive feedback. Maybe she is very weary of eBay sellers because she is so willing to try to cheat herself.

I had some trouble with ferferner, who has been known as pbhome, katysfindsfu, and kurtis1320. There are some old topics about her - people have been scammed by her.

My pony took ages to arrive, and it got pretty close to the 45 day limit before I got my pony. Communication was generally very poor, and the pony arrived with some damage not stated on the auction. She also overcharged on shipping: promised me a refund, refund never arrived.

I also had trouble with a member here ages ago: I bought a MOC outfit, and I only got it because I filed a "item not received" dispute with PayPal. That particular person didnt answer PM's regarding when it was sent, and never had a pm to say when it was shipped. The only time I knew it was coming when it arrived on the doorstep, and it was shipped after I filed the dispute. I wish I could remember their name though.

I've not been scammed... yet. I do get twitchy sometimes after hearing the experiences of others. Sometimes it's hard to give people the benefit of the doubt.

I wouldn't say I was scammed but close to the real thing:

I had an recent swap partner duck out on me :/ but the hostess came through for me.

I had a huge lot I bought I never got any of the ponies to. I luckily got my
money back on that one.

Im just thankful it is not worse than that. -knock on wood- Im very lucky to have both situations come to light.
