Here here, LDD! What's up with Hamelton? Usually their stuff is to die for! I have bought many ceramic plates and collectables from them over the years, and never been disappointed until now. Why with MLP? Is it because it was "just a toy"? I dunno...
 
wow, I didn't think she would be so small. O.O

As someone who has experience in casting, I can tell you now that this was cheeply done. Very Cheeply done. She looks like a dollar store figure. no, even dollar store figures have a bit more detail, and their painting is a bit better.

Definately not worth $25 in my opinion.

I suggest everyone who is not satisfied to write to the company (even if you want to keep her- but say WHY you want to keep her. Ie. its Glory, not because you like the statue) and tell them. If they don't do anythign about it, contact the BBB.
 
I'm amazed. I have every unicorn, pegagsus, carosel (except the scary muppet ones) horse, wzard and dragon on that site, plus the Irish angel. Gorgeous and top quailty, every piece. I can't believe they have something so cheaply made on there. I'm glad I did not order.

I don't have mine yet so I don't know what I'll think of her in person but to me she looks like a fakie with stickers stuck on her! Maybe if enough of us send her back they will release the first one!? I doubt it but hey, it's worth a try. :)
 
I haven't gotten mine yet, and I hope it comes to my parents house today as I have to go down there tomorrow to pick up the rest of my mail. I don't believe there is a "first one", as that was only a prototype rendering of the statue. I don't think she's THAT bad, but I guess I will have to see her in person first.
 
yeah she's not terrible, but they really could have done better, i do believe. i have ordered lots from hamilton collection too, and is a lot better quality than glory, but i am going to keep her, cause its mlp but i will definitely let them know its not very good quality, and that the only reason i am keeping her is that she is a mlp. i will tell them they should make sure that the other mlp's from this series are better quality. worth a try...
 
I was going to buy one, when i thought it looked like the first picture, but I just thought the second one looked a little creepy. I am totally willing to buy any of the rest of the set that don't look creepy. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what they look like.
 
Could someone tell me where you get these and or order them?
 
I am keeping mine but I am calling Hamilton Collection and complaining. The symbols are just stickers, my statue has horribly painted eyes, the horn is far too small and is located at the very top of her head.

I am not satisfied at all and I am going to let them know it. :(
 
Just a thought, but Hamilton must know about the big MLP following through Hasbro, right?
Well, maybe they thought they could make a load of money off of these by making them cheaply, as they knew they would sell ie. to us.

If this is the case, then shame on them.
 
Mine hasn't come yet. They may have canceled my order, as I think the credit card I originally put her on, months ago, was lost and therefore isn't good anymore. I kind of hope it has been canceled, I'm just so disappointed. :( I thought she'd be made of porcelain, not plastic. The mold has some serious flaws (receding hairline, horn in the wrong place) and . . . come on, stickers for symbols?! I wouldn't be so upset if she were just $7 or $10, but she's $20 + shipping! The full set of these will cost $160! I'll bet they're planning to use that same mold and just switch the colors of the pony (and add wings for the pegasi) too.

I can't believe the Hamilton Collection would put out something so low quality. I am going to save my money for one of the old G1 ceramics on eBay instead.

I got mine on Tuesday.

Im kind of torn.

Im excited because its MLP- the old MLP.

I love early ponies, Glory expecially!

I like the brushable hair.

Im just happy its the original MLP.

But....

She does look a bit weird. A little more *cheap* looking than I had expected. Mine's eye paint doesnt look right and the bird doesnt really have a good paint job.

She has a big glob of glue in her mane at the base that makes it stick out...its hard as a brick.

I wish her horn had been a bit more MLP styled.

But its not like she was $50 or something. I think we got what we payed for pretty much.

All in all Im ok with her.... Ill give them their money and wait for the next one.

you can send it back for another not damaged..I did, mine was scratched seeply on the back leg..for that price and how cheaply it looks I would send it back for another one..and keep doing so until I got one that was perfect. with back ordering like that there shold be NO factory damages at all on it.
 
I just got mine today! I've been torn too after seeing pics of her here but decided to wait and see her in person and then decide.
I've decided I like her and will definitely keep her. I don't think she is that poorly made either. And thankfully mine has no flaws. phew.
Yea 20 is a bit steep but she is also a collector's item and will be rare in the future. I'm happy with mine and can't wait for more!
Which speaking of that, on my invoice it said the next one will ship to me in a month!It didn't say what the next one is though. (I signed up for the plan to get them all) Hope its true and I don't have to wait 7 months again! lol

Hmm...looks a lot different than the advertised picture of her I saw in a magazine. :? I liked that one better. The thought had crossed my mind of getting one but now that I've seen this one I think I will just let it go and not get one.
 
wow, I don't know if I should sell mine when I get her then. She looks horrible, but then again she is glory. I hope I get her soon though
