This years Fair will be held at the Rhode IslandConvention Center in Providence, RI. The event will be held June 21st and 22nd.

This year our theme is: My Little Pony Comes Home: Celebrating 25 years

Registration will open February 1st.

Our website is about done with its 2008 over haul. Details about the local hotels will be included on this year’s site. There are 4 choices for hotels in the immediate vicinity of our venue.

Hasbro is very excited to be working with us this year and we have some exciting plans!. We have some wonderful suprises in store for you this year.

We appreciate your patience waiting for these dates to be announced. There were several factors to work around this year. We hope to see you at this years event!

Thanks

Yeah! Now to get booking!

I love the events there at the beginning of the 1st week in june there, hahaha. Good call.

OMG I want to go so bad...I'll see if I can abduct my mom or my boyfriend to go with me O_O

Gah! Nooo! So close to my house, but I'll be in Minnesota at camp! Aah...bummer.

The theme sounds amazing, though. Even though it's not for several months, I'm jealous of all of you who get to go ^_^;

Thank you so much for all your hard work on this! It sounds like it'll be amazing! I guess any teasers on what will happen will be on the Fair website? I'll have to check that out.

I'm hoping to make it this year, but if I do go, I'll have to drive, because I won't have enough money to fly and buy ponies! Hehe, guess I better start saving up for all the money I'll be spending, but it'll all be worth it!

I'll put these dates on the TP Calendar here, the thing is so handy!

Oh no! That's during the Barbie Convention! Say it ain't so!?!?

The Westin is the hotel right next door and it's running in the neighborhood of $240 a night. I'm looking at cheaper places now. Hey whippet, I'm on aim right now researching and I can give you some links.

lol, I already grabbed a room for me and my parents at the nearby Marriott Courtyard, for $135 a night (AAA discount). I'm going to keep checking though......I'll cancel if I can get something better........(waiting to see what the "group rates" might be)

(Anyone else notice the parking charges for a lot of these hotels? I nearly passed out!!)

I am thinking something a few miles off....
drive in each morning and save some serious money

Yeah, they are still in that range for me as well, but it sure beats a 10+ hr drive for me.

Holy moly, I just map quested the drive...16 and 1/2 hours:surprise:But on the bright side, we'll get to stop in niagra falls and drive through new york, but yikes. That drive to memphis was 10 1/2 and I wanted to shoot myself.....*adds to b-day list...ipod car charger, car adapter for my lap top...* oh thank gosh for my lap top, i forgot I can play movies in the car now *squee!* Ya'll better buy a lot so I have money ta make it home, gas is gonna be horrid:p

Parking is not bad; you can even park in the parking garage for Providence Place. When you buy something at the mall, you get the ticket validated, and I think the cost doesn't go above $10 for the day.

That's really not bad. I'm probably going to stay at the westin hotel that's adjacent to the convention center. I can't tell you how nice it was to have the marriot connected to the one last year! So if it's within walking distance, that'll save on parking...don't think the fiance will enjoy some extra trips but we finally have dollies to lug the big bins with this year. Plus, I'm a starwood prefered member and that's one of the supporting hotels, so that'll earn me enough points toward a free night at breyerfest in KY in July:D Kinda pricey though at $174 a night, but for 2 or 3 nights, that's not too horrible:D

Just PLEASE tell me this place will let vendors in extra early to set up, last year was a nightmare! I had people diggin through my bins, tossing money at me before I could even put the table cloth on...

Just so I don't double post, I posted this at the arena and thought it would be helpful for those looking for hotels, it'll tell you everything in the area! Bridgetsmum asked if it was the closet hotel...

Here you go, click here to find any hotels in the area:) Opps, forgot to add you'll need the street address which is 1 Sabin St, providence, RI 02903-1841
I'm a starwood preferred member so I earn points for staying at their hotels, so I looked for a starwood hotels group hotel with a pool, free internet etc.. and the westin came up. I don't know how much closer you can get if it's connected to the convention center itself! The hotel was like that last year and I HIGHLY recommend doing that. We were able to use the bell hop's luggage carts to wheel everything from the room right to the convention hall.

Lets see for me the cheapest Airfare is $295 round trip... or it's a 12 hour drive.. I normally wouldn't mind the drive, I drove to Memphis last year, but it requires that I go through Canada, and I believe I would have to get a passport to do that now..

I will be looking for a roommate or roommates to split the cost of a hotel with...And if I do decide to drive I'll be looking to carpool again, We managed to make the Memphis trip for under $300 a person last year...

I can't wait to see everyone again.
:22:

I have to wait to book a room until I get the time off for work, and maybe by then they will have a hotel with some group rates...
