Winter Series III

*frowns* minty has been re-released twice. once in the ballet/skating packs and once in the wing wishes set. she also seems to be very popular among kids, so that could be why hasbro is keeping her in the line.

Okay, forgive me if i'm wrong cuz i'm no G3 expert by any means, but wasn't she also released as a Disney Pony? As far as I can remember she has been released in a single pack, in a promo pack with Sparkleworks, in a different (salon?) value pack, the Disney pack, both packs that you mentioned, and now the Winter set. That, imo, is too often. If I wanted to have all the winters plus all the different promo packs, i'd have paid for a lot of Mintys and Hasbro would be making a ton of cash. What about the kids out there who want the Disney set and the new Winter set but their parents say (and rightly so) "wait, you've already got that pony, we don't need another of the same" ?

Hehe agreed! lol When Hasbro said "A VERY Minty Christmas" They meant it! I've checked 3 different Targets-nada. I'm guessing the South won't see them till late November or Janurary :roll: Not to whine, but I wish just once or twice Hasbro would start from the South and distribute them North instead of the other way around. I've seen Chrismtmas everything else though! Care Bears, Polly Pockets, more Care Bears, Scooby Doo. There's even Halloween Care Bear stickers at Target. WHERE'S THE PONY!?
 
Nothing exciting, but I did finally find these in OH. 3 of the Targets I went to finally have them "in the stock room" but no tags yet in the display. One store did have a box of them out, so I got my set, but I need Isabelle's yet. I'm just happy that I did get my set!

And, I do have to say, Minty is my favorite of the group! Toboggan just looks like a very cheap rip off of Snowflake for her symbol, and Sno-Glo looks like a very sick pink color, not peachy like I expected. And I HATE her dark green metallic looking hat! Minty is so pastel, and her scarf and "mittens" just match so well, she is truly adorable!

I'm glad she's the extra pony this year, though. I think Hasbro finally did something right making her the most abundant pony in the set, because of the movie. I should pull out the other 6 and rate who I like the best and least of ALL the winters, but this set, it's Minty hands down for my fav!
 
oh how i hope my target gets them soon! *crosses fingers* i'm in suspense waiting for them...lol!
i am going to get a whole set to keep MIB, cause i have the 1st winters and 2nd winters MIB. then i am going to get a 2nd toboggan and sno glo to open. i only got 1 set of the 1st winters, i wish i would've gotten another set to open. i bought 2 sets of the 2nd winters so i could open one set. i dont keep ponies MIB but i cant understand why i never could bring myself to open those winters. i also have the uk exclusives MIB, and all 3 of my g3 mail orders are MIP, along with my sdcc exclusive pony MIP...i just cant open them...lol!
 
Hey everyone, Just to let you know the release date for the winters is Oct 16th! Most stores already have them in the back, just don't mention that date! I found a sno glow out on the shelf and asked the guy to go get me the rest of the set. He was baffled that they had no shelf sticker cause all the rest of the ponies are $4.79 not $4.99, and he's like, she shouldn't even be out her probably....and when I said, oh? I thought they had a release date of like oct 4th or something? when he brought me the others, he looked on the box and told me they shouldn't be on the shelves until the 16th but at lease he let me keep 1 set:)
 
i got mine and already and there was only 1 Sno Glow among LOADS of minty and toboggan. but yeah i gotta say i was dissapointed with them except Minty, she is just put together well (the colors i mean) and shes an old fav with me anyway :) so im partial tp her.
 
Well, the 16th isn't that far off, so I'm glad I waited. I didn't see any associates that looked like they would search the back for me, and the one I did see was finding something for someone else. As long as I know they are there, I can wait for the other set, I guess.

Isn't that a bit earlier than the other sets, though? I thought the 1 and 2 series were definitely out after the Halloween stuff was down, or maybe out a couple days early. I wonder if they are trying to get people buying these earlier because of 1-past experience with the set and 2-the release of Minty's Christmas? Will this set be the largest release of Winters, then? I wonder...

i found the set of 3 in NC this past weekend.

i think they are cute... esp. Minty... i want to get an extra one to take out of the box so she and Mittens can hang out (i removed winter series I from the box :? )

minty seriously looks like she could be my persona, mintymittens... that just tickles me pink!
 
I went to Target on Monday and they didn't have them yet. It's about a 30 min drive, and even though they didn't have whatI wanted, I left with a ton of stuff! So when I got home I ordered them from the website. I figured it will save me from several trips looking for them and spending money on other stuff! I figure next time I'm at target fo something else, if they have them I migt buy one more to open. All of my other winters are MIB. so I'll be keeping the new ones MIB too, but I'd like to open one, the accessories are so cute!

The movie is being released Oct 25th so I'm sure they wanted them out a couple weeks early to promote it this year:) I'll bet they have a lot more sets this year than any of the others;) Especially of minty!
 
okay posting it here. I Found winter ponies in Oshkosh WI target. :) of coarse I bought a set and I have one ordered lol. I'm sad

I went to Target today, but all they had were two of Minty, so I snagged one. I really want Snowglow..

*squeal* A co-worker saw them at work and bought them for me when he came in. The only condition is that I can't open them here, because no Christmas stuff at work until after Thanksgiving holiday, lol!

EEEE! My Target finally put one set out and I grabbed them! I LOVE Tobaggan's hat! It has to be the cutest accessory yet. :blush:

Aww...I saw Minty at my Target last Wed...I was a bit bummed that I couldn't find the others. Even asked the people that worked there to see if they had any in the back. I'm asking a friend from FFXI to see if he can pick Tobaggon (sp?) and Sno-glo from his Target if he sees them. I'm not to interested in Minty so I didn't get her. Just need the others to add to the rest of the holiday ponies i've gotten from the past couple years. XD
