Winter 2010/2011 ATC Swap -- All finished! Album link posted.

Whoo! Just wanted to let EvilMuffins and Midnightchyld know both their packets made it here on Saturday. I was having trouble getting the TP to load this morning or I'd have posted it sooner. Silly forum. :tongue:

Oh, and Midnightchyld, I totally cracked up when I saw the pony and the pole. I love it! (Confession time! That actually happened to me like a week ago with a spoon. I put the spoon on my ice cream a little too long, and when I went to eat it, bam! I was stuck. The ice cream had its revenge! :eat: )

And EvilMuffins, whoo! I loved the New Years theme. And the glitter. My heart totally went pitter pat when I saw all that glitter!
 
lol Thats great! I've done that before too, and it hurts! :( I have to give my husband credit on three of those, pole tongue being one of them haha. I was sitting there getting ready to make out my cards and he started rolling out all these ideas (most of them involving pain) because hes twisted like that. Glad they made it to you in time :) Next time I may make more, I just didn't want to get too gung-ho on my first attempt.
 
im glad my cards made it. i think i already told you, but i did scan my cards before i mailed them. any chance there might be a teaser pic?
 
Whew! My cards are on their way to you as of this afternoon. I sent them out priority so they'll get to you by Sat. :)
 
No problem, tsuki! I'm waiting on a few packages to mosey through the postal system, so as long as I've heard you're alive, I'll wait for you. :D

BBD, I think I can arrange for a teaser. I'll see if I can do it this weekend when I try to get my Ms. Bowtie project in the customs forum updated. ;)
 
Haha, I remembered today! I kept forgetting to hop on and let ya know that I sent out my cards early Thursday. Hopefully they will appear today. Now I get to await for new cards to come back! I'll have a reason to check the mailbox every day. weeee :banana17:

Yay! glad it came safely.

I'm getting kind of famous with my internet friends for mailing them suuuuuper glittery greeting cards that get all over the place lol I could not resist sharing the glitter love with the TP too!
 
Awesome, gals! We're just waiting on lev's cards to mosey down now. :dog_dance: I know I had promised teasers, so I hope you don't mind just seeing what I did for right now. You'll all get at least one or two of these cards each...or more. LOL. I totally went crazy and I'm not even sure how many cards I made -- it was way more than I needed, I know that much! *facepalm*

Oh nightmare moon looks like shes done in water colros? I wanted to do mine in water color too but I started getting all perfectionist and so it was becoming more stressful than fun so instead I used color pencils and thought I'll make them better next time once I at least get one swap to work.

Hurray! The postal system came through the snowstorm and at last, lev's cards are here. I'll get everything packed up and ready to send out on Monday for you guys. :D

MidnightChyld, those are actually markers. That's actually my little trick...markers on tracing paper. They're colored like old fashioned cel animation, so the outline's on top, and the color is on the back. It does look a lot like watercolors, now that you mention it.
 
Keep an eye on your mailboxes, everyone, as the cards went out this afternoon. Yey! Hopefully if they don't get caught in this impending ice storm of doom, this swap should be all wrapped up in a week or so. :D Oh, and I got your feedback posted this morning, so that's all finished. Double yey! All I have to do is get the album set up here and the pics off my camera.

And now for some other related news. This is going to be my last swap as the ATC hostess. I've been thinking about stepping down for a while, because I'm just out of ideas for new and fun swaps for you guys. I've put on every swap I personally wanted to do since I started, and now...well, I'm going out on my glittery high note. Someone new at the helm will probably have great new ideas to improve the swaps and keep them fresh. A bunch of you have been in the swaps so long you could probably run them in your sleep and already know exactly how you'd like to change things for the better. And that's totally great! It's exactly what I did when I took over. :icon_smile_lachuh:

Anyway, it's been a great run, and I have loved doing this for the past few years. I don't know how these things usually get passed along, as I stepped up when we were left hanging one swap. You know you can always poke me for advice or whatever for future swaps. I'll be around so I can keep on making my pony scribblies...just without the hostess responsibilities. ;)
 
i will keep an eye out.

sorry to hear you that you are done hosting these. any idea who will take over? i wouldn't mind doing it, if no one else wanted to.
