G1 Why is Mimic Rare?

Yes, she's just pricey, not really "rare." However, there will come a time when more and more G1 ponies will become rare as more and more of them succumb to cancer, bite marks and other maladies.

She's not rare. She's just sought after. Many people like her because she was the focus of a G1 cartoon episode. Others like her for her color scheme and pose. And then there are those who want her because she's an "it girl". Personally, I wanted her because I'm trying to eventually have a complete US G1 set.

Yeah, only pricey.

I remember some years ago you could get a nice condition Mimic for $50-60 usd, and near mint to mint between $80-120usd. But now she's crazy expensive with even bad condition ones going over 80.
