who wants to improve with me?

I don't know if I'll be able to do something every day, but this seems to be a good catalyst to at least try to. I'm in!

Are we showing the first pics on Monday..? (the unreferenced one, right?) and then everyday we work on whatever we feel needs approval by using refernces, right? I'm just double checking so that I get it all down pat. :)

It's Sunday night! Time to post you current level/ before sketches.
Mine is up, Now lets see yours.

I cant wait to see how this all turns out!

aaah, poop, i forgot to scan my sketch on friday, and i have tomorrow off... but i'll try to make another sketch tomorrow anyway and scan both of them on tuesday.

I'm going to keep my eyes on this thread. I draw, but not nearly enough, haha.

Teiris, I'm really impressed by your practice sketch. I can't draw real horses worth a ****, let alone that good! (Well, not that good, even WITH a reference!)

This'll be a fun thread to keep my eyes on. :)

sorry! im a bit behind - im having renovations done and it was a lot more disruptive than i bargained for. Ill post as soon as i can, promise!

Here's my first! I am going to work on posing and expressions...since I need a little help there.

Sorry it's kind of light, I wanted to keep the file size down, so I scanned greyscale.

That's looking awesome Teiris! That's a great idea! I love how you used the different colours to show the different movements of the legs. :) I finishing up my sketches for today...

Oh! Would I have to post them all?

I'm a day behind already!! gahh, this is me start. I'll scetch some more with models.

its pretty much up to you how much progression you post. the onlyy thing mandatory is the before sketch and the after crunch week sketch, of the same thing.

Shoot! If I wasn't swamped with school work this week I'd try to join in. I need to work on feet and this sounds like an awesome idea. =< Hopefully you'll do this again when I can focus my time on drawing instead of school. *weep*

Maybe I can pop in and offer some critiques where they're needed, if anybody is up for it. I didn't take all those studio art courses for nothin'!

I'd like to improve my actual anatomy....... like my muscles.... does that count? lol

I think I'm going in a different direction from most of you. I've got a custom and some other projects involving birds, so that's what I'm working on. And hoo boy, I don't know if I'll end up any better at the end of the week, but at least I'll have learned how to sketch /fast/. Problem with birds-they move all the time. I suppose I could just use pictures, but watching the real thing in my living room is so much more interesting, and I got some poses today that I suspect I wouldn't have easily found with pictures.

I'll post two days worth of stuff tomorrow. My scanner's hooked up to another computer that isn't on the 'net, so it's a bit of a pain and I don't feel like messing with it tonight.

Linky for my day one stuff, though technically it was all done after midnght so..... ehh.
clicky

Not much, I've spent most of my time searching the web for models. le sigh, need's to buy a modeling book or something.

Since your working on the femal form. You can cut load of search time if you go to Deviant art and type in femal nude in the search.
BOOM! Its all right there.

Dude If you can get fast enough as sketching a live bird then your taking one giant step in the uber right direction!
