What Pets, If Any, Do You Have?

I have 2 cats, they are related somehow(either sisters or cousins) one is Sassafrass(we call her Sassy though) she is a grey Manx with white paws and a white belly and chin,(she's my cat, Custard is the family cat) and the other is Custard she looks just like Sassy but is a solid gray and has a tail. And pets we used to have are, a baby scorpion my brother caught( they let it go), a bearded dragon named Ralph Garfield, and thats about it.

@ElectricHarpsichord

I love the names you picked for your pets.

@tulagirl, thanks! I have an unofficial rule where my pets have to have My Little Pony-esque names and be somewhat related to each other. The cat I had before Midnight was named Sunshine Sparkle-Blossom. :p

I love all the pictures! Diesel's pictures are especially dear to me because I have a dane too!

Here he is, the dorkiest of them all!

Lovely fat rosehair!
I have ....everything. Almost everything anyway!
Mammals - I have a basset hound and italian greyhound, 3 cats, a naked hamster, and...I breed and show mice! Here is a couple of the variety I focus on. Black tans and PEW.

Fish - I have 5 tanks from 30 gallons to 55. Three are tropical fish, 1 is goldfish, 1 is...see below!
Reptiles - 9 snakes (corn, king, rat snakes, and a woma), 1 crested gecko, 1 box turtle, and from above...a tiny baby musk turtle.

No invertebrates or birds at this time. I do have a horse that lives with my parents. LOL!
I love that black and tan one! It's beautiful!!

Nice pic, May Esdot! :) You're from MN? Cool. My dad's side of the family is in MN.

I dunno if I actually have pets or just an unreasonable amount of small, furry bosses.

Running an animal sanctuary I have probably what seems to be a hoarding situation, really. Worry not though, I don't keep 'em all. I'm crazy but I'm not THAT crazy. Plus I hae 23 acres for them, so we have lots of room. But I adopt out only those who can be adopted and keep the rest who are too unsociable, unattractive or ill/old to send to new homes. So many animals come here so abused or neglected that once I get them back to trusting people again, they already have 'settled' and it would be unconscionable to send them from the home they feel safe in.

At this point, so many of the dogs especially, having been breeders who were used until their health failed then were abandoned like garbage, just can't trust people anymore and only want the company of their fellow canines. I can give them that and they tolerate me. Some will warm up over the years, some will put up with my vetting, but nothing else. They are done with people. And considering how they've been treated, I cannot say I blame them.

Right now we're sheltering two horses, 9 ponies, 11 pgymy goats, 3 pot bellied pigs (I lucked out and adopted out several to a lovely lady who just loves them! They live in her house with her!), geese, cockatiels, an army of about 40 tame, semi-feral and feral cats, 9 kittens (most of these already have homes waiting, they have to go through vetting first), 40ish dogs who come and go, mice, about 20 box turtles (this year has been unkind to them with the flooding, some are mine some will be set free once them recover), 4 musk turtles (affectionately known as 'stinkpots' here), a very stubborn owl who will be moved to a rehab soon, a surly llama named Beth and maybe that's it. I think it is maybe. It's hard to say. We've had snakes, rats, hedgehogs, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, scorpions, raccoons, possums, skunks you name it, I think I've had it at one time or another.

When I think of all the Ponies I could buy with the feed money I cringe. Heh. But everyone has their calling. This is mine.

@evilbunnyfoofoo besides the mess, that sounds wonderful! I wish I could be exposed to so many wonderful animals like that, but my father is allergic and he refuses to let me get a dog (I can have one at college, but it would have no where to go for the summer).

The most animals I've seen in one place before was in my friend's house. He breed ball python morphs and has a room with about 75 reptiles in it.

I need to add to my list
We have chickens now
Roho the rooster
Sissy
one feather
Prissy
missy
2heirloom hen name
Gertrude
Beatrix

Ooooo, @May Esdot a whole room of reptiles sounds like my idea of heaven!
