What do you do with your adoptables?

  • I don't request an adoptable unless i want to change my avatar/signature

I haven't asked for adoptables in the past, since half the time they are already full up before I find one I particularly like, or the requests have already closed. XD And I know I'm the sort who'd be too slack to switch them around on a frequent basis.

But with the few I have (I think, 2?), I keep them on the PC to admire and one of them is as my signiture on the mlparena. :3
 
i have so many. like over 100, a lot that i have made for myself as well as from members. being here for over a year now, they add up. i appreciate all the ones i get made for me. they're just great and adorable. if i knew back then to save them with the artist name, then i would know who to thank for them. just because im not thanking you or giving you credit for using my lovely adopt, doesnt mean i dont care or im unthankful, i am thankful. i love my cute adopts you all have taken time to make for me. and i save mine not just on my computers documents, but saved in my photobucket and in my album, in my profile.
i try to use them when i get to it. or i wait for the right holiday or mood to use them. its just good that we can at least use 4 of them on our profiles. i updated mine.

Looks like maybe a few tips on keeping track of adoptables are in order maybe?
 
I have them uploaded here to my adopties album and in a file on my computer. I try to change my sig but lets be honest I work full time and changing my sig is the last thing on my mind. I know people like to see there art in peoples sigs but do remember some of us work full time and cant remember to change them all the time. I love all of my adopties but I cant change them every day to make all the artist happy; I do try to rotate but it just gets confusing

That's great that you put them in an album - i don't think anybody is having a go at anyone else for not changing their signature or avatar a lot, as I'm sure we all know that resizing takes a bit longer, as well as choosing which adoptable to put there. I for one don't have any adoptables in my avatar or signature because I don't want to offend anyone by not using their art, so i just have my adoptables album :)
 
i know i'm not after people using my adopties all the time, but i do feel happy when i see one :) hey, i don't change my sig 50 times a day either. it's rather the lack of credit or people not even saying 'thank you' for something you worked your butt of for. i know most of you appreciate them very much, and i think i can say for all who makes adopties that that's the best part of it all, happy customers :p

I love the adoptables everyone has made for me. They are so cute. I think I will put them in an album. I just reccently changed mine from a newborn cutie Twilight from CC to a lovely seapony adoptable from Gypsydancer. I just changed my signature line to include Thank you _____ for my avatar. I also have a lovely singature from FizzyPop. I plan on using each adoptable that everyone has been so kind to make for me. I love the adoptables so much that once I change it, I tend to keep it for a long time.

To everyone that has made me an adoptable: Thank you very much! Don't worry, one day your adoptable will appear as my avatar. Each of you is very talented and I appreicate the time you have taken to make each one.

That is so very sweet of you to say Ponyfan :D I'm sure all the artists who have made adoptables for you really appreciate that, i know i would
 
depends on my mood or the season if i use them in my sig/avi but i always ut them in their coorisponding albums. there are just so many good ones that i wish i could use them all ^^ i should make a collaged wallpaper!

but you guys are great you know. i understand too the feeling of not getting thanked but being elated when you see people useing what you made them. so i understand.

I save mine to my laptop with the artist's name and upload them to my Photobucket account. I tend to rotate them in my signature and avatar throughout the year, changing the "Thank you, [member] and [member] for my signature and avatar," line as I do.

Oh I wasnt saying anyone was "picking on anyone" I was just stating that its hard to rotate them when you work full time ~_^ I do agree that people should thank the artist for the adopites in there sig and avatar (Which reminds me I need to update my sig lol)
 
I have a special album for them on my profile page. I only have a few adoptables but I do try to get Holiday ones so I can switch them in as my sig for the special holiday. I have a Halloween one, Valentine's Day one, 2 Winter ones (one for here and one for the Arena. I missed the Christmas ones) my new Disney one (a pony at Disney, how perfect for me right) and one or two others but I love looking at them in my album. They mean the world to me! Heck I didn't even come up with a persona til a few months ago. lol. She still need a little more pizzazz but she's ok for now. I'm always grateful to the talented and kind people who take the time to make such beautiful artwork for all of us! Thanks everyone! :065: :36546:

persona pony up; I can help you if you'd like ;)
 
I put mine in albums on my user profile. This way people can see your guys out look on my persona and the ponies I do like. This way they can see everyone different art style. I haven't decided what to change my sig or avie too yet. lol
