What do you do with your adoptables?

CannibalCow and I are just curious...I admit, we've been getting a bit frustrated :p We've noticed that sometimes people request an Adoptable, and then don't use it, which is a bit upsetting for the artist!

Personally, i think everyone should have a picture album where they post ALL the adoptables that have been made for them :3 Not just a select few either, i think it's unfair to artists to make something and then see that the requester hasn't used it :p

What do you do with your adoptables? ^_^

yes, and i love it! it's so nice to see them all together :D and easy for giving refs, etc. i think it's so nice to have them all like that, so people that made them to me can see them also. as an adoptiemaker i must say i appreciate seeing people having them in albums.

- yes i use them in my profile also :D it's fun decorating it with pretty ponies.

i should also have voted others, as i am using some as screenshots, i use them as refs, and i actually have started on a little book where i will put them all in. but i have no printer at the moment so yeah the project kinda paused :p


i must say, to make an adoptable and not even get thanked sucks really bad. seeing people using them makes me so proud and happy :D then again, seeing someone have an album of adopties and not posting the one i made, but uploads others is kinda annoying, and makes me wanna stop making them. oh well

I'm sorry luffs... I haven't updated my albums. I love the adopties y'all made me. I change stuff a lot. When I'm back at my computer I'll make sure to upload to albums.

I'm in the same boat though. Look at all those petite/mommy charms I made and the little chibi ponies. Hardly anyone has used them.
 
To be totally honest. I'm not a big fan of signatures. I've had them in the past, but I find they sometimes can just get too big.

I love having artwork from other artists though. So I tend to do a couple things when I get artwork/adoptables from people.

I put them into a folder on my computer.

I print them off and put them on my wall, even if they're small, all together they look pretty.

I use some in my MSN picture sometimes when I feel pony-ish

That is such a cute idea about the book :D I would love a book of adopties if i have enough of them one day.

I will upload them one day (Onto an album here) But Its really hard to remember the usernames of people who have made it for me. (To credit them)

Why don't you rename them to include the username of the person who made them?
 
I keep mine in two places. I have albums here on my personal page where other TP members can see them. Each one has the artist's name tagged to it. I also keep them in my photobucket account so I can use them on other websites as my siggies there too. I'm sorry...I never meant for artists to be insulted that I don't change my sig frequently. A lot of times, I just don't want to resize them. I like looking at them the way they were given to me. :)

I do appreciate all the time that the artists here have put in for my adoptables. Thank you all so very much! :)

:D That is exactly what I've been planning to do for awhile.
I need to redo my bedroom, and get those up!
 
I love adopties^^I haven't updated my albums though...I'm in the same boat,Blackestbird..only 2 times has ANYONE ever used my art is their sigs..
BTW,BB,I still love my Sundown^^

I keep them all in a folder and admire them often. Plus I'm now thinking that printing them off and having them on the wall is a great idea - my wall is looking just a wee bit bland at the moment! I also have them all posted here in an album on my profile - both to use as refs and for others to admire.

I do try and rotate my sig, but the fact that I don't do it often isn't at all a reflection on the artists, it's just me being lazy and forgetting to do it. It's long due for another change actually. Plus the fact that the sig limits only allow one adoptie at a time makes it a bit more challenging to choose one!

I request so many adoptables because I really really enjoy having them to browse through and enjoy (sometimes they're even my desk top), it's a link back to my childhood that is also tied to me and that really does make me smile. Plus I love seeing the different spins that people put on my personas - it's a great way to see people's different art styles..
 
a) I put them in an album, with the names of the people who made them. I think there are only 1 or 2 that don't give credit...it's because I waited until I had 5 or 6 to upload because I knew I would feel silly having an entire album with only 2 pictures in it. :-S The pictures that don't have by-lines with them are marked with pleas to identify the artist, and get renamed as I find that out. :)

b) They are all in a folder on my desktop, and I look through them all every other day or so and go "awww, CC's adoptie is so cute..." and it gives me a warm tingly feeling inside. ^_^

I have so many it's scary, but that's because I have SO MANY different personas. I do appreciate everyone's hard work, and I change my sig, and I also upload them all on my photobucket. Heck I even have a pony in my signature at the Disney forum I post at!


I'm also slowly but surely uploading some of my adopts in the persona forum so everyone can see them. I have long since forgotten who made what which is my fault but they are all very, very much appreciated!
 
I try and change my sig when I remember. XD It's definitely not because I don't like the art that people make for me, I just completely forget to change it sometimes. X3

And I have my stuff in a folder on my computer, but I've been thinking about loading them onto an album here.

I generally try not to ask for signature art that I won't get to use. I like using the same ones for longer periods of time, so I just don't bother to ask very often. :D It kind of irritates me though when it's the same people over and over getting adoptables. ;___;
