Hey folks!
I went to Portland, Oregon for a conference a couple of weeks ago. While there, I found a vintage toy store! It was closed when I first found it, but I saw ponies through the glass storefront, so you know I found my way back when it was open!
See the ponies? The name of the store is blacked out because he said I could only take photos if they were for personal use, so if you want to know, just shoot me a PM.
Needless to say I was amazed and enthralled! When you first walk in, here's what you see. Ponies and Rainbow Brite and Care Bears, oh my!
A few close-ups of the ponies. They were all very over-prized. Baby Starbow was $50!!! I am kicking myself for not buying Wigwam, I can't even remember how much he was!
More ponies- sorry for the blurry pictures.
The store was pretty big- there's my coworker posing. Blurred her face in case she didn't want to be online, LOL! The rest of the store was mainly boy toys from the 70s and 80s. I have more pics, but they are all blurry beyond recognition.
So we'll focus on the girl toys! Here is some Strawberry Shortcake stuff!
Oooh, Moondreamers and Fairy Tail Birds. I wanted these, but I had to limit myself!
Here's what I ended up with. SSC Strawberry Shortcake, Lemon Meringue, Lime Chiffon, Princess Dawn, a Rainbow Brite sprite (the green one that came with the dolls), a MLP book, a Popples book, and that's it! Oh, I almost forgot- I got a SHS puzzle and a Rainbow Curl puzzle too!
Hope you enjoyed the tour through the vintage toy store! umpk1: I know I did!
I forgot to say, they had records and books and all sorts of stuff.
