Valentine/Spring ATC Swaps -- Flowering trees shipping out 3/15!

Wow, I'm glad I logged on today! hehe I almost missed one. I'm interested for sure. I'd like to join the National Cherry month swap (it will be weird using someone elses' line art, also I did not know Feb. was cherry month!) and the Flowering Trees Festival swap.

The Victorian one is tempting but I just don't fell I could do it justice. I may try a few on my own because it sounds like fun but I wouldn't want to disappoint any one.

So I'd like to sign up for those two. I already have ideas for some! weeee........:949:

I cant wait. I did a few sketches over the weekend I was so exicted about this :)

aw! more people need to join the victorian swap!
I may have to sign up for the cherries so I can get pretty cards from all the talented artists in that swap!

I'll put you down for the cherries, too, thebeth. :)

I probably scared everyone with my examples of the Victorian Valentines. They really aren't that bad. I've been doing some and am pretty pleased with the results so far.

I can't wait to play with this! :) I'm going to stop by Hobby Lobby to pick up some cardstock tonight. :bounce: (I love this emoticon!)

i know, huh? the victorian one does sounds tricky, but also a bit fun. i can't really start until i know how many to make and for who, in case i want to personalize them. i have some ideas on how to make them look like the vintage valentines, but i just dont know if they'll look right. its all good fun though.
same goes for the spring one, until i know how many and who, i can't start yet. we have until next month and i tend to be quick with these, so no worries.

I was having a little too much fun at Hobby Lobby last night drooling over things I could pick up to use for these. I restrained myself though and just grabbed some cardstock and paper lace doilies (although I had to get the valentine cookie pan!).

I'm pulling scenes out of classic romance literature in my head for my valentine's ones right now. The consequences of getting certification to be an English teacher. :cwm15:

oooh I can't wait to see that!

i was just wondering, for the victorian valentines, do you want them pony related? cause it would take me a good while to think of a way to squeeze a pony in the theme of each card.

Yes, please, pony-related, but you can be creative. Doesn't necessarily have to be a whole pony on the card, for instance. I think WarmSnuggles did a neat card that was nothing but symbols last year, and that's totally acceptable. :)

I finished the line art ones over the weekend.
I will get pictures take of them sometime this week.

I'm still working on the freehand ones :)

I'm still working on my ideas. Trying to get all the ideas down before I buckle down and draw. :) Classes are being a pain too, assigning all this homework. I *will* get these done and shipped on time though, promise!

Raven, I have an "awww" moment every time I see your sig... Just had to point that out.

LOL! Yeah, they do kind of do that, although not anymore. That dark gray tabby is 10-12 lbs now, and the light gray one is about 8 or 9, much more delicate than her brother. Anyways, back on topic! :D
