Main Day: Stallholder Preparations!

As the Convention draws closer, everyone is getting excited about what ponies they may find to add to their collection! If you are coming to the Convention with a stall to help you make a few pennies for Christmas, or for your own Ponycon shopping, here are a few ideas to help you get prepared!

Things to do!
Clean up items for sale
Identify unknown items (especially accessories!)
Price items and make a list
Label items with prices/info (mini parcel tags are a great idea for ponies, mini press n seal baggies for accessories)
Pack up all sale items in boxes
Pack up your stall kit (see suggestions below)

Suggestions for Collection display stalls
Choose which ponies to bring - perhaps on a theme!? eg Green ponies, boy ponies, argentinean ponies, UK ponies, Princesses...

Clean and beautify your ponies ready for display!

Make displays - perhaps you want to build a 'mountain' for your Mountain Boys? or a beatiful garden for your Flower Ponies? - your ideas could win you a prize for best stall! If you don't have time to make a fancy display, then some shelves, blocks or risers and a pretty table cover will help display your ponies beautifully

Make labels/Signs - perhaps you have some rare ponies you want to tell us about? Labels with a little bit of information about the ponies you are displaying help other people learn new things about My Little Pony! Perhaps you are displaying your beautiful customs and you would like to hand out your business cards?

We hope these suggestions will give you some good ideas when you are preparing for the Convention - everyone is excited about what stalls there will be this year, so we look forward to seeing what you have in store for us!!

The Public by Road

The Public is about a Mile from Junction 1 of the M5, in West Bromwich town centre. Brown tourist roadsigns will direct you to the Venue. Post Code for Sat Nav: B70 7PG

Parking at The Public

There are plenty of car parks close to the venue, the nearest car park is less than a 30 second walk from the building, and is very reasonably priced
There is disabled parking on New Street adjacent to The Public along with a drop off point at the entrance to the building. Unloading information for stallholders has been included on the Stalholders letters.

The Public by Bus, Tram or Train
Information from The Public.com
West Bromwich is served by very good public transport links including the metro from Birmingham and Wolverhampton. Bus routes from all over the West Midlands stop at West Bromwich bus station a few minutes walk from The Public and it is just a five-minute bus or taxi ride from Sandwell & Dudley railway station. If you take the metro, get off at West Bromwich Central and follow the pink signs to the building. For information on buses, trains and metro across the West Midlands please call Traveline on 0121 200 2700.
If travelling by bus from other parts of the UK, both Megabus and National Express offer coach services from many UK cities that stop in Birmingham. From there, you can use one of the above services to get to West Bromwich

The Public by Air
The nearest airport to the Public is Birmingham international, which is 16 miles from West Bromwich. the airport is well connected to both London and central Birmingham by Rail, and receives flights from many international destinations.

1 Week to Ponycon!

Meadow Can't Wait for Ponycon!

Yes, after many months of anticipation, there is just one week left until the big event! This year, Britannia has a new friend to helo her welcome you all to Ponycon, and her name is Meadow! She is very excited about the big day but she's a little shy, so please say hello!

Meadow is the name that you, members of the UK Ponycon forum have voted to give the 2010 Collector Exclusive Pony! As last year, she is shared with the My Little Pony Fair, but exclusives for the UK Ponycon will be distinguished by their special serial-numbered stickers for this limited run of beautiful ponies!

Meadow is not available to purchase at the Convention, you must have pre-ordered her via the UK Ponycon website. In your ticket pack you will have received a voucher for your exclusive pony if you have ordered her. Don't worry if you don't have your voucher - just bring you paypal receipt!

Meadow can be collected from Reception Desk on the Main Day only.

We hope you are excited about our exclusive pony, we are! She is such a beautiful and vibrant colour and we hope you'll agree she is very special!

As well as giving prizes for game and competition winners, this year we will be giving some special awards to recognise members of the Pony community!




This award of 'Ponycon Member of the Year' is a special award given to someone in the community who has been a great friend, always helps other members or shows great generosity.

For this award, we are asking YOU, the community to nominate who you think should receive this honour - to nominate, please PM Jemofirongate stating who you are nominating and a short paragraph explaining why you think this person should win the award

You can also nominate on the convention main or members day by writing the name and your reasons for nomination on a piece of paper and leaving it at Reception -before 4pm on Members Day, before 1pm on Main Day

4 Days to Ponycon!
Members Day: Opening Times & Registration

Since the first Members Day was run for the Manchester convention, this event has grown in popularity, and this year we have been able to open it up to more people than ever!

Members day is a fun and more intimate day, with plenty of time to meet new people, chat, and play fun games. Its a great way to get stuck into ponycon if you are a first timer, and has been a big hit so far - we hope you will enjoy it again this year!


Useful information about Members Day

You must be a Weekend ticket holder to attend on Members Day as this event is only open up to limited numbers

Members Day will take place on the second floor in The Public, please ask Reception to direct you when you arrive

Members Day starts at 10:00am, no one will be permitted to enter before this time. The day finishes at 4pm

Please bring your ticket confirmation letter (preferably) or failing that, your paypal receipt with you. Ticket holders will be admitted strictly in ticket number order only.

Don't forget 2 MLP wrapped presents for pinch the parcel, cakes for cakey bakey, scooters for racing or materials for speed drawing and customising!

3 Days to Ponycon!
Main Day: Opening Times & Registration

Just three days to go until the main event and we hope you can't wait! Here is some useful information about the Main Day including opening times and information about our new registration process. Britannia and Meadow are very excited and look forward to welcoming you!



Useful information about the Main Day

The Main Day is open to the public, you do not have to have a prebooked ticket for the main day unless you are a stallholder.

The Main Day will take place on the second floor in The Public, please ask Reception to direct you when you arrive

The Main Day starts at 10:00am, stallholders will be permitted to enter no earlier than 9:00 am. No one will be permitted to enter until the opening time, and only after they have been registered. The day finishes at 5pm

Please bring your ticket registration letter (preferably) or failing that, your paypal receipt with you. Those with prebooked tickets will be registered for entry strictly in ticket number order only. Those buying tickets on the door will only be able to do so after prebooked ticket holders have been registered.

If you have pre-ordered an exclusive pony, please bring your exclusive pony voucher with you. If you do not have your voucher, please bring your paypal receipt. To speed up the registration and entry process, it would help us if you would come back to reception later to collect you pony.

Don't forget to bring plenty of spending money, your competition entries, fashion show costume, and camera to capture the memories!
