The "If They Mated" Swap - THAT'S A WRAP!

Ugh, rehairing! I wouldn't mind it if I didn't prefer to use the knot method. I should get with it and get a rehair tool.....but I just like the anchor of the knot. Although, it takes me a while to rehair a pony if I don't have an entire afternoon to devote to just hair. The pony I am finishing up hairing now has gone through 4 needles! I had to take a few days away from her. I am finising her up tonight. lol.

As for the pony in this swap....I keep changing my mind as to which two ponies I want to use. I even thought about combining three ponies, but that is just too awkward for all ponies involved. lol
 
lol a pony 3-some! :lol: too funny josie!! course, it could make sense if 2 of them were like related (ie siblings), and one was one parent and the 3rd was the other parent, but i'm just saying :shrug:

Still at a standstill with which design I want to go with.
 
LOL @ pony threesome. I THINK I've decided. Now I just need to figure out how I want to work it, and research some hair color matches.

I'm planning a pony-filled weekend! DB's replacement custom, commission for tiegrsi and Mating swap. I hope to make big progress on all 3! Plus, I need to ship out my species swap pony.
 
I've got my idea down - now just need to put it into action. *Rubs hands*
 
I've dyed 5 ponies without any incident before... and now. Of course. I ruined 2 baits. This dye hates me for some reason. Ugh. I'm gonna have to paint the pony. :-(
Can anyone give me the name of a good sealant? I'm not sure if the one I used for the dye jobs will affect paint differently...?

I just use good ol' Mod Podge. It's never let me down. :)
 
I got my idea, got my bait prepped, now if I could just get my airbrush to work properly. *swears*
 
Well, I got some good progress made on the first two customs on my list, but I haven't touched this one yet. I hope to get working this week, definitely by the weekend.
 
Body paint done, symbol blocked in, hair owned! Should have this one wrapped up by next week. :)
 
Man, you guys are fast! I'm still trying to get a couple of things off my plate, but I WILL start this weekend. At least on the FBR. LOL

All I have been able to do is bait 2 ponies. Still not sure what design to go with yet.

LOL Me too, Hindsight. I'm pretty much finished with GD's replacement custom and only have the symbols left on a commission. I prepped the bait for this swap tonight, and plan to get started tomorrow. **crosses fingers**

LOL Well, yeah! Ghost Hunters is on! I get a LOT of rehairing done when there's something good on TV. She's in the bathroom letting her hair set right now. She's protected from cats in there - they love pony hair! :katmeow:
 
Lol, Skeen - that's when I've been working on mine. After work, I settle down to whatever's on that night and paint - I've got four I'm working on currently w/ full-body paints needing only another coat or two. :)
 
Wow....such fast workers! I have a bait prepped, and I design sketched out....though I'm not positive I want to use it. lol. I will hopefully get to work on her some this weekend. I know s/he will be fun once I get into it, but the creative block is killing me. lol
