The Angel of Death ( FINISHED!!!! )

Update: October 22, 2010

FINISHED!!!!!

This one is a commission order for DeepDarkCreations.

Started with a G3 Butter Pop.


He's a pony take on the Angel of Death, from Guillermo del Torro's, " Hellboy 2: The Golden Army ".


And the Angel is FINISHED!!!!

Sculpted with apoxie sculpt, paint scented with a raspberry fragrance oil, painted with acrylic paints, sealed with a matte varnish, wing eyes sealed with a glossy sealer.

Oh, and yes, Death apparently smells of raspberries. XP

*Gets in line with those who can't wait to see this custom* This is gonna be so cool!! I loved the death character from Hellboy, and since it's you doing it, this custom is gonna win epically for sure!!

Oh man, i totally forgot you were making him/her/it (?) And so far it's looking amazing!! Wow, I loved the character from the movie (Guillermo's mind is a crazy, fantastic place that I really want to visit more of some day!) now to see it ponified! Incredible!



P.s. I'm curious, what do you use for sculpting? You've prolly said before but my brain refuses to hold onto those details... stoopid brain..

Indeed! His mind is just as intriguing as the late Jim Hensons! I'd love to have at least a quarter of both mens minds.

I use apoxie sculpt, from Aves Studios. Kind of partial to the blue, myself. ^^;
 
IMPRESSIVE!!!! Loved that movie and that character is very well done.
 
Insane skills man. That has gotta be the best sculpting I have seen in ages.
 
Wow where'd the pony go? ;) This is some crazy greatness in the pony world, like you deserve some kind of trophy! Not only that but the sketch is really awesome too, some serious talent! *Bows*
 
Holy pegasus pony! :eek:mg: I have absolutely no clue on who/what he's based on but dang..! That is one amazing sculpt job! *picks up jaw*

That's just going to be epic once done... ****, it is already! I can't wait 'till we get to see the finished product!
