Oh yes, I definitely remember the majestic Saguaros from our last US holiday. We visited Tucson and Saguaro National Park East.

We live in California, and a few years ago my boyfriend went to New Mexico and Arizona for business. He sent a photo of the landscape, devoid of any grasses, just shrubs and cactus for miles, and I laughed so hard. I'd thought it was a trope! I didn't think it ACTUALLY had THAT MUCH CACTUS, especially close to a big city.

Well, I still have a photo of our Disney plush pegasi (they accompany us on every holiday ) on top of a young saguaro. I don't think they liked it. very much up there, too prickly.

oh geez - silly ponies = yeah that idea wasn't supposed to have ponies climbing 'em - more like look, don't touch and don't eat...

I just loved the desert world so beautifully different from eastern 'scapes... but yeah, I get the enticement to touch

Anyone else feel the need to balance the biggest pony possible on their head for the current lightning round? The zillas wouldn't stay and my 3 foot plush is not in a standing pose so a mere fashion style had to do.

Everytime I tried to angle my face and camera just right, Steamer would tumble down and hit me on the nose and I'd drop my phone. He wuz out for bluuud!
