So what is up with Jingle and Ribbons?

There are a couple people on eBay who seem to have a massive supply of Jingle Jangle and Ribbons and Bows. Now it is possible that they got them all last year. But I have to wonder if they are getting them somewhere else. Like a Big Lots, or Value City, or Ollies, or something like that.

Only because there are two of them that just suddenly out of nowhere have dozens of these ponies. The one seller has had 15 sets. And her other sales are new HTF toys that are currently out. So I doubt she has been sitting on dozens of ponies for a year. She turns things over right away to make money, as do a lot of people. I find it hard to believe especially when, by her past sales, she buys to sell the HTF stuff immediatly.

Then on Oct. 3rd she listed one set as her last one and suddenly had more a few days later.

Another person had 9 sets on at the same time.

I do think that they are out in a surplus store or something somewhere. I know last year my hubby found Tformers that were Meijers exclusives from Christmas 2004 at Big Lots.

Does anyone else think it is too coincidental that suddenly these sellers have so many ponies?
 
it is weird.. I've seen them listed, but didn't notice it was the same people over and over.




Why not just email them and politely ask?
 
I asked one of the sellers, and they said they did not buy these in stores. I asked because I too live in Florida, and was wondering if maybe I could find them myself. Supposedly they were not purchased in a store. Maybe some place online has them?
 
Now I'm confused. The two people selling them live in the exact same area. The pictures are not the same, nor are they the same photo quality, so I don't think they are the same person. I do however feel like the lady lied to me. These have to be in a store, or at least at some crazy warehouse. They are being sold exclusively in that area, and I want to live there.
 
Hm. If someone finds them at Big Lots I'll check mine out. I don't like to go in there - everytime I go I get accosted by people who want money.
 
Yep. Now there are 3 sellers with them from Florida. So they have to be somewhere in a store.

It is possible that someone from Florida bought a few sets and held them, but not 15 sets. Then miraculously there are two other people in Florida who just happen to have been holding them to suddenly list them too.

That is a bit to coincidental.

I think Meijers is only in the Midwest. Not in Florida or Canada.

Walgreens gets Meijers stuff sometimes too. THey are somewhere.
 
Those sellers are located in SW Florida right? Darn, I'm near NE Florida, but really don't have time to look at Big Lots until Wednesday or so.

Long shot, but how far away from Disney World are these people? Also another idea is just to call Hasbro and ask if there has been a wide spread rerelease of these cuties..( which I hope is the case! :) )
 
There might be a warehouse wholesaler...they have a bunch of stores in warehouses in and around Chicago's O'Hare airport. They open up for a limited time and have boxes of discontinued items, store recalls...they are kind of fly-by-night places. They might have these in an industrial park in Florida as well. Hopefully with a rush on the ebay market, you might be able to get a deal.
 
What I found interesting is that one of the sellers said the ponies were recalled from the shelves at Meijers, which wasn't allowed to sell them anymore. Since that same seller had several BIN sets as well as a case of like 6 for BIN $135 in their shipping box, I figured the seller might have been an ex-employee who liberated them from the trash bin. But now that I read your posts I'll bet you're right about some kind of wholesaler. Interesting...
 
nope- not in Disney, nor in any other central FL shop that I know of. And I've been haunting my local Family Dollar and Big Lots, searching for the elusive beaded curtain and 2nd FD foursome. I go in Dollar General and Ross fairly often also, and haven't seen them there. No Meijer's in this state either (never heard of them until here).
I don't hit Dollar Tree or any of the other dollar stores, though, so they could have them. Also, the Beall's Outlet near me closed when we got a full-fledged Beall's, so that's a possibility. The big Beall's don't have toys, but the outlet ones do- I found Cherry/Shen/Cupcake/etc. there when they weren't to be found anywhere.

EDIT: I checked the eBay listings; 1 in Toronto and 3 in FL. Of the 3 in FL, 1 is in Englewood in the SW; 1 is in Port St. Lucie on the south-central east coast; and 1 is in Ocala in the NW central part of the state. These areas are all several hours apart. Maybe it is a regional resale chain like Beall's?
 
I went to Big Lots today and found nothing. I'm in central Florida. I too have found Chery/Shen/Seren/Bumble at Bealls Outlet, and at my Big Lots I was able to find an entire wall of Cupcake, Sweetsong, Serendipity and Bumblesweet when they weren't easy to find.

This is craziness though. That one woman is also selling that impossible to find Barbie/TMX Elmo set. So she has obvious connections. The others are a mystery. I do doubt that these are somewhere as easy as Big Lots though. What would make anyone pick them up if they didn't know how rare they are? Whoever is selling or buying has a clue about these.

Maybe we will all luck out with a wider release.

Has anyone checked Freds? Burlington Coat Factory, Hudson's, or what was the name of that store that Cherry and Shenanigans were famous for showing up at? It wasn't a big name store

I'm thinking it was Value City or Value Village?
 
Fred's? Fred's gets leftovers? Theres one about 30miles from me but I've never seen a pony there. I dont even have a shred of hope for finding the winters. I'd never even heard of Meijer's until those ponies.
