I had a ridiculous situation over at the arena. It took three months of me calling daily, getting fees charged up, and being threatened by the mods, only to find out that I had done everything correctly and the situation was resolved on my end less than a week after it started. During the three months of stress, I was given a "no swaps, sales, buying, or trades until the situation is resolved". It is now resolved completely for over two weeks, they lifted the restriction on the other party, yet I'm still restricted. :(

I am sorry Tak. I know you have done all you can. Have you asked them why you are still on restriction? I am guessing you have. Sometimes when things get this messy it is a good idea to take a break. Give yourself a little vacation. This will pass eventually which does not help much now I know.

It helps to know there's still a community out there. I am taking a break due to finances anyway.

Wow that's terrible. I'm sorry Tak ): I hope they stop restricting you soon.

I'm sorry to hear that :( Hopefully it will get resolved but Tulas advice is good. Take a break and forget this messy thing for awhile :)

Yea I know for myself due to stress on many occasions I have done the stupidest things. I know I am a weird girl at times. So, I hide under a rock for a while until the dust clear. ROFLOL Some communities are easier to be yourself in and feel like a mistake is forgiven all can move on. Other's not so much. Like years ago I had something for sale on ebay non pony. I had no idea two people from a community I was a member of were going to bid on it. These two people hated each other. So, innocent me sees that one person I know bid on it. No big deal. Then all of the sudden the next day the dreaded enemy of the bidder comes in and outbids her. When the auction ended the lady paid and I sent the item, but the first bidder told everyone I was a shiller. This was just because she got outbid by someone she hated and somehow in her irrational mind figured I orchestrated the whole thing on purpose. I had to leave the community. People can be so nutso. I can be nutso. I think really unfair things happen. We can't stop them sometimes. I was hurt for a long time and eventually I got over it and moved on. I lost so many friends over that ridiculous incident that I had nothing to do with. I had no idea that was going to happen. It was so bad I had to shut down my ebay account and start all over. The thing is you never lose what you don't have and in my case those friends I thought I had were not real friends. Not one of them ever asked me if I had in fact made that hated member outbid the nice member. The answer would have been, "no, I had no idea she was going to bid." I guess looking back I should have just cancelled the whole auction once the drama started and put up a blocked bidder thingy. This was in the earlier days of ebay when you could see who was outbidding you. I had someone actually write me on ebay during that time a hateful email because a doll lot I sold went for 300.00. They were jealous and decided to yell at me. I mean what tha? Do I even know you? You are upset about my auctions why? Is it your business? I mean seriously people. Who does that?

That is totally nutso! Whos business is how much your stuff sell or if some one is outbid then only thing to to is the outbidden to swallow his pride and deal with it.. Seriously weird... People get so offended even thought they should not be *shakes head*

ROFLOL these are the type of people that keep Dr. Phil in business. I mean what would we do without all the people wearing panties in a twist?

I'm done over there I think. They actually locked or deleted a good 75% of my threads. I really don't know what I did for them to feel the need to do this. I try really hard to solve any problems as quickly and amicably as possible. Not worth thinking about anymore. The mods won't even return my message asking why. I'm going to take them out of my favorites list. :sadpony:

What a bummer  unfair but there is really nothing you can do since they won't even answer your messages.. sigh.
That is weird that they locked your threads.. were the threads selling/trading/etc.? or just normal topics. They do lock old topics so that could be only normal thing

They even locked my wishlist which I had edited to say "not buying or trading right now".

That is terrible tak ..:( I am glad I never had that happened to. I have been involved with some other situations that turned out stressful for myself. Though I just solider on. If anyones interested about it they can pm me. None of which thankfully got me in lock down with the mods.

I've seen my fair share of tantrums over lost bids

"Ermahgerd seller rigged it
Ermahgerd gotta stalk who won and start blaming everything else for my loss"

Really? Over a rubber toy designed for toddlers and 6 year olds?

ROFLOL I know and some people get into fights at the thrift stores over ponies. I remember one time a woman got to the thrift before me and had a hole basket of G3's. I kind of slowly watched her to see if she would put any back. She didn't. Sigh...I was sad but never thought to put her in a choke hold over it.

I feel like the bigger the community, the more deep water pockets there are in the pool. I'm super quiet on the Arena, except for buying things occasionally.

I've stayed off of the arena for roughly two and a half months now. The admins reaction was to change my rating name to no transactions. By their own words they said that nobody else could see that I had a restriction and that if I just let time pass the restriction would be lifted. Any advice? Should I just delete my account and give up for good? I, quite literally, have not done anything. I'm not complaining. I'm honestly just confused and would like help. Can the admins on here offer any advice?

Honestly, my advice is to not do anything and just let time pass and as they said it will be lifted. You can not remove your membership on the Arena. You can leave, but there is no way to delete yourself from the system. The best thing really is to wait out the time it takes to have it lifted. When you feel up to it you can log on and chat with friends. If you don't feel up to it then just don't log on. I always felt the best thing to do with forums is not to create drama around your issue and let it die away in time quietly. It is better for you and the lift will probably happen a lot sooner then if there is a dramatic exit with words and fuss. Hugs to you.

Thanks tulagirl. I'll leave it be. I was just so shocked to see "no transactions" instead of "dabbles pony".

I really wish there was a more private way for forums to handle issues with member Sadly, because of the really dangerous scammers they need a system that clearly alerts members that are trying to buy and sell. So, I understand methods used, I just wonder if there is an easier, less embarassing way to do this task.

I agree instead of letting everyone know about everything oh well.
