~*~ MLPTP's Pet-tastic Swap ~*~
I was inspired with the idea to do this swap by Peppermint Truly's brag post from the Days of Summer swap. It got me thinking about how many of the members here have pets and are pet lovers, myself included.
We often share pictures and stories of our furry family members here and I thought it'd be fun to find a way to let our companions in on the action.
So I shook the dog hair out of my brain and started thinking about what we could do.
After consulting with Frank, we came up with what we think would be a silly and fun pet themed swap!

Here is how it will work:
We are going to do a pet to pet swap. In this swap our pets will be the ones sending goodies to each other. You will make a box for your partner's pet and it will be from your pet.
Now this is a pony board and lets be honest we gotta throw a pony in there someway right
So in your box will also be a pony which you will buy for your partner on behalf of their pet as a thank you to them for being the great, caring pet owner they are! You may include a few little pet lover gifts for the person but the main theme of this box should be for your partners actual pet.Since this is the first time we've done this kind of swap I will give a detailed example:
Say my partner was Peppermint Truly, I would buy Diesel some treats and toys, maybe a fancy new bandana and maybe I'd get PT a cute husky keychain or frame. I'd wrap them up from Frank, I would include a card from Frank to Diesel, so he knows who his swap pet was.
I would also buy PT a pony from her list and wrap it up from Diesel and include that in the box. This pony is from Diesel to her as a thank you for being the great dog mom she is, I'm just buying it on his behalf.
So what do you guys think? Want to join the fun?
Here are the swap details:
- Price ranges for this swap 20.00-30.00, not including shipping.
- You must include one pony in the items you send
- All items must be wrapped. Fortunately, this is from your pet, so if it's not wrapped neatly that's ok. Although Frank is better than you'd think at wrapping gifts LOL
- If you have multiple pets you need to select only one or two to be the swap pet(s). You may mention your selected swap pet's furry or feathered siblings and your swapper may or may not include them as well in the gift giving, it's at their discretion. I know a lot of people have several pets but to stay within the price range we have to try to limit it some.
- Delivery confirmation or receipt of sending is required! This way if something is lost, we're not mad at you, but it will be the post office's fault.
- Post on your pets behalf in the Show n Tell thread when they receive their gift. Please do include a card or note from your pet in your package telling your swap pet who their swapper was.
- When shopping for ponies, keep in mind that ponies should be in as near MINT condition as possible! Send a package that you would be thrilled to receive yourself.
Requirements to join:
- A pet! This is after all a pet swap
- 1 Month of Active Membership at MLPTP.
- Minimum 16 years old.
- Minimum of 50 posts by end of signups.
- Minimum 5 references for TP feedback or outstanding ebay feedback please or TP feedback for 2 successful swaps in the past. Refs must be from trades or people you've sold to!
- You must not have any Negative Feedback on your profile.

Wishlists/Introductions:
- Once you're accepted into the swap, post your pet's wishlist here: http://mlptp.net/index.php?threads/mlptps-pet-tastic-swap-wishes.108615/
- Your wishlist should be from your pet. This is where they can introduce themselves and tell what kind of treats or toys they like, what kind of things they like to do, if they have any allergies. If you want you can even include a picture of your pet. As mentioned above, if you have multiple pets you're swap pet may mention their siblings here if desired and it will be at your swapper's discretion to include them or not.
- You will also need to give your pony wishlist. Wishlists need to be for at least 15 ponies (or more), or at least close if you can only think of, say 12. Please be sure to list ponies that fit within the price bracket. If you wish to price check please post in discussion. I will review all wish lists to make sure your partners have plenty to choose from.
- Let us know which flaws are totally unacceptable to you.
- Let us know which flaws are ok with you.
- Let us know if you are a G3/G4 mint in box collector.
You must PM me when:
- You have any questions.
- You want to sign up.
- You get your swap partner
- You mail your package (you must include tracking info)
- You receive your goodies
- Whenever there are any issues or delays. I understand real life might play tricks on you, and that's OK, just keep me posted so nobody freaks out.
