MLPFair Design A Pony Contest

Have you ever wanted to design a My Little Pony? How about an almost two foot tall My Little Pony? If so, then this contest is for you!
Simply download the contest entry form and get to work on your unique My Little Pony design based on the theme "Back to Basics". One winning design will be chosen by the Fair Staff to be made into a giant almost two foot tall My Little Pony to be unveiled at the 2010 My Little Pony Fair in Louisville, Kentucky. After the event, the giant custom designed My Little Pony will be sent to the winning designer! The contest runs from now until April 2nd.

For additional details, contest rules, and official entry form, visit MLPFair Design A Pony Contest page on our website.

oh my god how awesome! Is this for anyone or just fairgoers?

I'm so doing this. My niece and I had so much fun doing the one that hasbro did a few years ago. :)

Too bad it's only open to US residents. I would have liked to enter this :(

Is there any chance non US people can enter on the understanding that they put to the shipping costs of the pony if they win??? I'd love to have the chance to take part.

problem Printing the Form

This is cool! I think I will enter, but I'm having a problem. The form prints out except for the part with the information. I can print the pony part but not the page with address etc.

Is it okay to recreate that as long as it looks similar. Not sure why that page isn't printing but the pony page is. I could just retype it and print it out myself if that is still acceptable.

That will be no problem. You can type out the info form yourself. Thanks for letting me know you are having problems with pg 2 of the form. I'll check into it. :)

I tried printing it out, but it cut off the right side of the pony. Everything to the right of her ear was cut off.

Oooh I'm in. Haha Sounds fun =D

Awww, I wish I had the $$ to go to the states for this, since they won't ship to Canada.. :( I suppose the postage on a giant pony might be a bit much...

Cool idea! I'm not a custom person, but I CAN color. This looks fun, I'm going to do it too!

Just giving this a bump. I have received just a handful of entries from MLPTP folks. You guys need to represent. :p

It isn't hard to enter, just print out the entry form, color and design your own pony and mail it in. The contest ends April 2nd so there is still some time to get those entries in. The odds of winning are pretty good- much better than winning the lottery. :bonk:

oh! I tried to enter and it wasn't working on my computer. I couldn't open the file :(
I will try it on another comp.

This looks like fun. If I think of anything good, I'll definitely enter. ^_^ <3

is this only for people in the us? :(
It says this on the contest page:
"Due to high international shipping costs, this contest is open to US residents only. International entries will only be accepted from persons who will be in attendance at the 2010 MLPFair AND have the capability to transport their prize at the close of the Fair on Sunday July 18th. In the case of a winner who is located outside of the US who is NOT in attendance at the MLP Fair, the prize will be forfieted to the MLPFair staff for auction to fund further Fair events."

So I think technically you can enter, but you won't get the pony? Maybe if you asked, they'd send it to the US citizen of your choice instead. XD

ETA: Oh! This may be a stupid question, but it's a question none the less...
It says each person can submit two entries. Can they be submitted together, or do they have to be separate?

And another question I just thought of... Does it matter how we color it? (like, photoshop vs. crayons?)

Each person can submit 2 entries. They can be mailed in together, but each must have the 2 pg entry form (pony page and information page). It doesn't matter what you use to color it.

Anyone in the US can enter. US residents do NOT have to be present at the Fair to win. Persons outside of the US must be able to pick up the pony at the end of the Fair event. The fair staff will NOT ship the prize internationally.

If you are international and want to work out arrangements with someone in the community within the US to mail you the prize BEFORE you mail your entry that is between you and the other person. Your entry form must contain a US address if you are not attending the Fair. However, I will warn you it is not going to be cheap to send this girl internationally.

To recap:
-Any person with a US address can enter (MLPFair will not mail the prize to addresses outside the US)
-International people attending 2010 fair can enter as long as they can transport the prize home.

If you borrowed mine, chances are pony would "get lost in the post" going to you, lol... my ponies have ways of things, evil ponies...
