oooh... trying to see if I can also bring two neighbor girl friends ( 8, 10) along so there will be a few more kids hopefully (well, ya know we're all young at heart... but these gals are all 21st century -scary)= anybody else ??
I'm sorry Maycrestmom, but this first and foremost an adult collector's event. It was never intended for children and generally speaking, only the children of collector's are granted permission to attend. The events are not geared toward children and there are no plans to add them. We are not trying to get more children to attend.
Many collector's bring a large amount of items both to sell and for brag displays. These items can be worth hundreds and collectively in the thousands of dollars. Most collectors, even those with children of their own, are uncomfortable with the thought of non collector children around.
I myself bring items that could easily be damaged by one touch of a dirty hand for display, such as original Hasbro artwork.
I didn't even bring my own child to a pony meet until she had been collecting for a few years and was well versed in pony etiquette. I have also told several of her friends over the last 10 years that they could not go with us.
Although your enthusiasm is understandable. Please leave the neighbor's kids at home.
Tell them you will bring them back some ponies as presents
