This creation is nearing the last of my sweets snack themed unicorns but for this design I decided to combine marshmallows and macarons!
Pony base is a Remco fakie, coated in white gesso to give the acrylic paint work a texture to bond to. Full body repaint in beige acrylics, hooves painted in caramel pigment, nose and horn painted in a faded white gradient and eyes paint in my own personal style. All paint work sealed in Artists Varnish.
Mane and tail are rooted in yarn that I brushed out (easier said than done, I tell you what) macarons are painted googley eyes with thin strips of fur and thick leather sandwiched in between the eyeballs, then entire sandwiches are painted in acrylics then sealed in Mod Podge. Added a string of beads to resemble toasted marshmallows, then some painted wooden beads on wooden dowels to resemble skewered toasted marshmallows. White ribbon bows added to mane and tail, brown ribbon bows added to front hooves and a sash of neutral pink trim for a necklace with a beige bow tied over top.
Leg warmers are layered bias tape and yellow lace hand stitched.

Upon the news and controversy of the new live action Little Mermaid movie, I felt inspired to make a work of art expressing the beauty of the concept of the new movie.
Her pony base is a generation 3 ice skater body with the hind legs cut off. The torso piece also comes off separately on this post so I had to paint the pony in 3 pieces. The head is from a different gen 3 pose.
Her tail is faux silver vinyl, painted and then hand stitched. I has a few pieces of heavy duty wire supporting on the inside so I could shape it. Her tail fin is a blue feather and shimmery teal ribbon.
Rest of pony base is coated in white gesso to give the paint work a texture to bond to. Full body repaint job done in hand blended acrylics. Eyes paint in my own style. All paint work sealed in Testors spray sealant, glitter acrylics then added to lips, eyes and tail.

Her mane is Shetland silk wool. I twisted a lot of locks to downsize the volume of her hair to shape it more.
Shells on her chest are painted sea shells. I sealed them in Testors spray also then put glitter acrylics over top. She has a few strings of bead work around her neck, top of her tail and a hair broach.
Her stand is a slab of scrap marble I picked up from a local stone works company that makes counter tops! I wrapped golden brown fishnet material around the stone then hand stitched beads, a glass bottle and fork/knife presenting Ariel’s treasures.
She has 3 layers of fabric flowers attached to her front hooves to present the one scene where she does the “loves me, loves me not” petal game.
….and mermaids should just be generally surrounded by flowers.

After seeing the Target exclusive backpack being posted around the web, I decided to find out who the ponies were that were printed on it, and bring them to life! Turned out they were generation 1 ponies (who already had gaudy toy figures made of them) Princess Royal Pink and Princess Royal Purple. Though the original toys’ eyelashes looked like they crawled out from something awful, so I decided it would be good to do my own take on them anyways. ALSO, I decided to make a mini version of the backpack! But without the ponies on it since they jumped out of the picture. xD The backpack has something in it though… but what is it? YOU’D HAVE TO BUY THIS SET TO FIND OUT!!!!

When studying the poses in the backpack picture, I decided generation 1 flutterpony bases would best suit these gals. Bases are coated in white gesso, full body repaint jobs done in acrylic paints. Carefully painted their cutiemarks to match the original ponies. Eyes painted in Hasbro style but with my style of eyeshadow. Fake lashes purchased from Walmart makeup section were carefully glued on their upperlids with e6000 glue. All paint work is sealed in Testors spray sealant.

Manes and tails are rooted in nylon mlp dollyhair in the colors:
Heartthrob for Princess Royal Purple
And custom blend forget-me-not/brambleberry for Princess Royal Pink. (I combined both colors of her cartoon version and physical pony toy version since I couldn’t decide which to use… why not both!)
Manes and tails are permanently styled with a hair gel method.

Tiaras are painted plastic pony crowns from other pony toys, scarves are hand stitched with some white lace attached.
Backpack- Started by cutting out a small rectangle from cerulean blue leather. Handpainted the castle/mlp logo landscape image with acrylic paints, then sealed it with Testors spray sealant.
Rest of the backpack is hand stitched in 6 pieces- pink and purple bias tape, purple maxi piping for the straps and cerulean blue zipper so it open and closes and like mentioned above, contains a surprise for the lucky customer of this set!

I was very inspired by this set and it came from the heart. It was burning a hole in my to-do list lol

Candycorn unicorn custom pony!

Decided to craft another candycorn themed pony since I like candycorn so much! This is probably my third design based off of the candy. I’ve done 2 others but their designs were much different.





Pony base this time is a very unique fakie base. I’ve love to have a toooooonnn more of these fakie bases cause I think they are perfect. I used the original body color on this one, but did some light gesso prep on just the horn and hooves for the candycorn colors. I then painted her eyes in my own wicked style! All paint is sealed in Testors spray sealer.
Mane and tail are brushed out black yarn. Fangs are cut from thick white leather and glued in place.

Her outfit started out with a simple red saddle layer. I then stitched a black cobweb lace over top of it, then pleated a cream orange lace trim and stitched it to the saddle. Made 2 large triple layered bows for the front corners of the saddle, then a simple double layered bow for her tail. Then stitched a silver plastic metallic bead layer around the hem where the saddle and lace meet.
Added a large black lace trim underneath the saddle and across the front chest. Added orange glittery pumpkin rhinestone in the center. Added multiple layers of bows to her mane including a couple crescent moon print ribbons, 2 strands of special beads on floral wire that includes candy corn-colored skulled, candycorn glass beads, and bright orange unicorn head beads. Added layers of various rhinestones on the front of her forehead to finish.

Decided to make the new variant Ponyta from Pokemon Sword & Shield!
Her pony base is a 3 inch fakie. I lopped its ears off and replaced them with leather ears. Attached a horn from another pony, and coated entire base in white gesso. Gave her a full body repaint in white acrylics, painted her eyes, hooves and inner ears in acrylics. Sealed all paint work with Testors spray sealant.
Mane and tail are rooted in brushed out yarn, added a few short cut ribbons to the hair for the detail.

Titan Eren is crafted from a 11 inch tall generation 4 sitting Pinkie Pie base. I lopped off her ears and replaced them with pointy painted leather ears. I carved off parts of the front and sides of the body to make the titan look a little distorted and so that the smaller custom of Eren would fit inside like he’s inside his titan in the series.
The entire set of 5 is surface prepped in white gesso, full body repaints in acrylics and expressions hand painted in my style. All paint work sealed in Testors spray sealant.

Bases for the Captain Levi and his 3 scouts, are bodies from generation 1 Flutterponies and the heads are from K-mart fakie ponies.

Titan Eren’s mane and tail are rooted in 7 packages of Hasbro quality nylon dollyhair.com hair in the colors:
Hazelnut, chocolate fudge and devil’s food.

Eren’s mane and tail are rooted in 1 package of custom blend of devil’s food/espresso.
Levi’s hair is rooted in a custom blend package of chocolate fudge/devil’s food
Armin’s hair is rooted in a custom blend package of golden sun/golden delicious
And Mikasa’s hair is rooted in a blend of black magick and hematite.

I used 11 packages of dollyhair.com hair in total for this project!
All 5 characters have their manes permanently styled/hardened in hair gel method.

All of the scout regiment outfits were done the same basically, except Eren has the bare minimum underlayer of the outfit and his key that allows him to transform into his titan. All their boots are hand stitched from brown leather, they have brown ribbon straps detailing their legs, a sheer brown hand sewn wrap around their flanks. Eren and Armin have cream-colored undershirts, Levi and Mikasa of pure white undershirts, Levi has a fancy ruffle neck detail, Mikasa has her special red scarf that is cut and stitched from red bias tape.

I made 3 brown scout jackets for 3 of the characters and I basically made them all exactly the same way. They are cut in 8 pieces from a light brown cotton fabric, each individual piece hand stitched. Added little pockets on each side of their front leg sleeves, painted the scout regiment emblem on the backs of their jackets in acrylics.

Levi has the hand stitched green cloak with the emblem painted on the back of it, and ODMG gear which is made from 3 stacked layers of leather, painted in silver acrylics, wrapped with 3 pieces of flat wire to detail and a round painted wooden dowel on the tops. The swords are painted flat wooden dowels with leather hilts, and black hemp cord connecting them to the ODMG gear. Blades have black thread wrapped around to detail.

Levi and Mikasa have wings cause they are the fastest and kick the most butt. Wings are severed from generation 4 princess bases.

In light of the candycorn unicorn I made in October, I felt I needed to do a Christmas themed unicorn! Pony base is a hqg1c glitter blank flutter pony pose. I took a horn from a generation 4 princess and pinned it onto the head, painted it in white, red, metallic and glitter acrylics. Eyes repainted in my own style, added a Christmas rainbow to the cheek! All paint work sealed in Testors spray sealant.

Accessories- started with the saddle. It is cut from thin dyed green leather with deep red maxi piping hemming. Added poinsettia rhinestones on each side.
Added a toy Santa on the saddle back, I think it came off of a Christmas tree ornament so I just tossed it in my doo-dad drawer some years ago.

Stockings are all hand-stitched in a few layers of bias tape and wide ribbon.
Added a gold lace trim around the neck for detail, a simple bow on the mane and simple white tail ribbon with a glass candy cane attached!
