These are character customs from anime called My Hero Academia. Popstep is from a side spin-off series but it’s still MHA. These are characters I took one look at and was instantly inspired to create. Especially with Toga being a yandere.

Both their pony bases are generation 4 smaller princesses, horns and wings removed and bodies coated in white gesso and given a full body repaint in peach acrylics.
Most of Popstep’s bodysuit is painted on in shiny black acrylics, both their faces and Toga’s scarf are also hand painted in acrylics.
All paint work sealed in Artists Varnish.

Both are rooted in nylon mlp hair.
Toga’s hair colors: Mango tango, buttercreme and yellow fever (reused from another pony toy)
Popstep’s hair: sugarless gum pink Barbie hair and reused pink hair cut off from another pony toy. Both manes are permanently styled.

Popstep’s outfit is hand sewn, pleated mesh for her skirt and front leg cuffs, pink ribbon detailing throughout the outfit and lots of rhinestone hearts. Her wings are a gray scale vinyl with black faux vinyl.

Toga’s outfit is hand sewn, thin real brown leather used for her shoes. Rest is cotton materials. All of her mech gear is painted beads and rhinestones glued together, glued together and on wire. I added cute little white fangs on her from white leather.

Bought some blank pony bases from Clippers Sail, and this is THE first one I’ve gotten around to working on! A nice glitter seapony base I decided would look great as Princess Tiffany from the generation 1 toy line. So Tiffany got transformed into a seapony! I did a dry brushing of ivory pale yellow acrylics and a pale aqua on the fins and tail, then did several coats of thick glitter paint over top. Painted the eyes in my style and sealed them in Artists Varnish, added tiny star rhinestones for the gleams.

Mane is reused pony hair I cut off another toy, the hair is actually a very pale faded pink that almost passes for white. Her princess hat is hand sewn, embellished with rhinestones. I cut her mouth open a bit so I could permanently fix her wand into it.
Wand is a painted toothpick with 2 large blue star rhinestones with wire sandwiched between them to attack to the toothpick and fix beads on. Extra rhinestones glued onto the head of the wand, a larger blue bead fastened to the base. Entire wand painted in a over coat of dark blue glitter paint.
Chest crest is the 3-D jewel cutiemark from the gen 1 pony- cut the large tear shape from faux silver vinyl, rest of its details are all rhinestones. Silver lace trim added around the neck.

The stand- I felt a princess is deserving of a throne, bedazzled in shells and jewels!
Base of the throne is actually a aqua piece of furniture that came with Princess Skystar toy set, and I attached a severed hollow moulded tail I cut off of a 5 Below fakie unicorn and it just happens to be the perfect shape and texture to support a seapony! I attached vibrant fabric flowers beneath and inside the severed tail.
The plastic furniture piece is then attacked to a thick navy blue piece of leather, bedazzled with glass globs of various sizes, marbles, shells, rhinestones and beads. I added plumes of blue and white feathers throughout the piece to tie it all together.

G1-G3 fairy kei remixed German Lemondrop (yellow) and Spanish Lemondrop (aqua)

Suppose these should be called Lemonlimedrops? The fruit was added to both of these designs when I was contemplating why they had the names they have and I had a brief discussion among a couple collectors. They suggested I should add actual lemons into the designs and possibly limes, so I did both! I kept Lemondrop’s droplet cutiemark included around the fruits.
So these designs were spawned by the generation 1 international variant colors collector ponies German Lemondrop and Spanish Lemondrop.

Pony bases are generation 3 ponies, the aqua pose was engineered of 2 different pony pose types, and the yellow is a diva pose. Both bases were coated in white gesso to give the acrylics a texture to bond to. German Lemondrop has a full body repaint in lemon yellow acrylics, and the Spanish Lemondrop has a full body repaint job in custom blended acrylics. Eyes painted purely in my style, cutiemarks also hand painted. All paint work sealed in Artists Varnish.

German Lemondrop’s mane and tail are rooted in nylon mlp dollyhair in the color wisteria and reused hair I cut off of other Hasbro pony toys, and Spanish Lemondrop’s hair blend is rooted in reused yellow pony toy hair and a large stripe of dollyhair nylon daiquiri ice. Spanish Lemondrop’s mane is permanently styled in hair gel method.

They have harajuku fairykei accessories layered in laces, bias tape, ribbons, and beads. They have lemon beads and lime-like beads, I found a old kerchief that has lemons and limes printed all over it so I used it for their shirts. They each have 2-3 strings of beads in their manes strung on floral wire, and they have fabric flowers adorning. Feather and rhinestone embellishments finish off their looks.

Revisiting my old love for Remco fakies, I’m continuing a harajuku sweet treats series. So this crazy pastel mess is a marshmallow Peep themed harajuku design.
Pony base is a pink Remco fakie, and I filled the standing legs with marbles to increase the chances of her standing up since some of these bases are a thin plastic.

She is coated in white gesso, to give the paint work a texture to bond to, and she has a full body repaint job in white acrylics. Eyes are painted in my style. All paint work sealed in Artists Varnish.

Next, I few little Peeps in various sizes all over a scrap piece of white leather and then painted them, added layers of glitter acrylics over top before dotting on the black dots for their itty bitty faces. I then cut them out and set them aside.
Mane and tail are rooted in nylon mlp dollyhair in the color white chocolate.
She has long pants detailed in various textiles, such as cotton fabric, bias tape, and zagged trims. I made her little purple pockets. She has a aqua sequin shirt with yellow lace hems on the sleeves, mix-matched arm warmers on her front legs.

I then made 4 strands of beads on floral wire, added various bows/ribbons throughout her oufit, some feathers to the mane and then the Peeps/sequins and rhinestones finished the job.

Decided to make a Saiki Kusuo ponyart figurine from his anime.

Pony base is a generation 4 Princess Celestia I severed the wings and horn off of and then coated in white gesso.
Gave him a full body repaint in sunkissed peach acrylics, painted his eyes also and sealed all paint work in artists varnish.

Mane and tail are rooted in 2 different shades of bright pink hair I cut off of other pony toys. Mane is permanently styled/hardened in hair gel method.
His shoes and white undershirt are hand sewn from bias tape, shoes detailed in blue ribbon and have thick navy blue leather soles. His school unicorn is hand sewn from a nice neutral green cotton fabric with black ribbon detail stitched on.
His glasses are cut from transparent plastic from pony toy packaging, paint detail and they loosely tie on so you can lower them and peek at his real eyes.

His head gadgets are thick white leather with painted aqua detail, with pink and white beads glued to pins that also pin into his head like the real Saiki. xD (I wouldn’t recommend removing them though, due to potential damage and DOOMSDAY naturally)

HIS COFFEE JELLY is a large brown button glued to the innards of a generation 1 princess pony cutiemark (it’s a plastic plate the jewel fastens into on the inside of the pony whooooo creepy) the whipped cream is cut from a dessert eraser purchased from a Japanese dollar store, the dish has a layer of transparent plastic from pony toy packaging and the stem of the dish is a painted flat wooden dowel fastened to a bead which is fastened to a giant silver sequin for the bottom. The silver spoon is merely purchased from Michaels.

I’ve seen the generation 1 vintage Rapunzel pony floating around quite a bit throughout the internet, and I’ve been wanting to make one but had to wait until I formed a vision for how I could do one. I ended up coming up with this rainbow goth-themed remix of her! So basically, I kept her original eye color but flipped her body colors into real goth colors. Then her pink/yellow color combo is incorporated via braided hair extensions I added on.
Thing to keep in mind, is that I’m a artist so when I make something, it’s not always intended to look like a copy of the original, cause then I’d get accused of being a “base edit artist” which I’m not. I form my own visions and when you do art, you have to let your mind carry off into it’s own world and portray it on a canvas of some form. My canvas of choice is a completely blank pony figurine. So I made my vision of a rainbow goth Rapunzel, happen.

Pony base is a generation 1 Sweetheart Sister pose coated in white gesso, then given a ivory full body repaint job. Eyes painted entirely in my own style, she has little bats and stitches around her eyebrows. Cutiemark is a “twisted” version of the original mlp Rapunzel cutiemark, and I added bats! All paint work sealed in Artists Varnish.

Mane and tail rooted in the following:
Black curly doll hair purchased from a craft store
Neon red is nylon mlp firebird dollyhair
Shimmery fuchsia strands are metalized polyester purchased from Michaels (I use it instead of tinsel.)
The firebird and metallic polyester were curled/permanently styled with hair gel method.
AND THEN, why stop there? I made a bunch of “hair extensions” of other colors, in braids! There’s a blue braid nylon mlp lapis sapphire dollyhair, blue/fuchsia tinsel cut from a princess mlp toy, and all the yellow and magenta braids are cut from other mlp toys as well. Added a few bows, and a piece of large white lace on her head.

Hand-stitched red and black leggings, and “princess gloves” for her front hooves from large black lace and sheer black scarf fabric then gave her a white lace collar.
Lots of heart went into her.

All ponies pictured have their bases prepped in white gesso for the acrylic paint work. All their eyes are painted in my own style, I came up with generic cutiemarks for all the smaller ponies. The postal employee pony has painted leather mlp-themed stamps for her cutiemark!
I painted a g3 basket accessory that straps onto the larger pony, and put a painted g4 Breezie in it with 3 red and white leather envelopes. Made a beige leather envelope for the employee’s mouth.
Made 2 paint customs from generation 3 tiny ponyville ponies, added bows around their necks to make them look giftable! The larger g3 paint custom is painted to resemble a plush, complete with stitches painted on it. I took 2 g4 gift box accessories, painted them and painted a little cat and a tiny horse. Added feathers for the mane and tail for the tiny horse, put a tiny pony drawing in a picture frame as a pony art gift in the box and a tiny pink envelope. Painted a doll tote accessory aqua with white handles, painted a g3 friendship charm and fastened it into the tote with a pink envelope. Love and peace star rhinestone added. All paint on smaller accessories is sealed in mod podge, paint work on postal employee pony is sealed in artists varnish.
Mane and tail on the large postal employee pony is nylon mlp dollyhair in the following colors:

Leather is prone to sun fading, do not display in direct daylight for a prolonged period of time.
Decided to make a little Epona custom from a baby sized fakie base, and it’s the Epona design from Animal Crossing New Leaf but instead of making a leather tank top I put her in a saddle.
Cut off the original wings and horn of the base, coated it in white gesso to give the paint work a texture to bond to. Full body repaint job in hand blended acrylics- ears, muzzle and hooves are painted also and sealed in Artists Varnish. Eyes are sapphire blue rinestones with black brushed on. Mane and tail are rooted nylon mlp dollyhair in the color white witch. Tail has some black brushed on at the base.

Brown boot leather was used for the chest piece, dyed blue leather for the saddle and lined it with a strip of black leather. Painted the edges of the chest piece with antique acrylics, made gold rhinestone triforces and a few rhinestone details around them.

Sticking with the band wagon, I decided to craft Clear Skies and Wind Sprint from Friendship is Magic.


Both are crafted from generation 4 bases- Clear Skies was a 3 inch Rarity base and Wind Sprint was a Pinkie Pie blind bag that I attached wings and an extra ear to since Pinkie’s hair lopped off one ear.
Both bases coated in white gesso to give the acrylic paint work a texture to bond to, all paint sealed in Artists Varnish.

Both their manes and tails are rooted in nylon hair I cut off of other pony toys.
I turned Wind Sprint’s hard haired base into a base that has actual hair which was not easy.
Clear sky’s neck scarf is blue bias tape.

Generation 1 Sailor Moon

I first made a Sailor Moon pony back in 2008 as a commission, then another in 2011 that sold so I felt 8 years later, let’s make her again and from a generation base I haven’t done yet, a elegant generation 1 Sweetheart Sister base pose. First 2 were gen 3 and gen 4.
This base was one of those that had the glitter stars all over it, so I had to sand them all off with sand paper until they were smooth enough to not appear through my new paint work.
She’s entirely hand painted in acrylics, eyes painted in my style; all paint work sealed in Artists Varnish.
Mane and tail are rooted in nylon mlp dollyhair in colors yellow fever and lemon drop. Her mane required full 2 packages of hair.
Mane and tail are permanently styled in hair gel method, do not attempt to brush it or it may not go back to curl.

Outfit is entirely handsewn in various widths of bias tape, maxi pipings, and ribbons. Skirt is sewn from a satin fabric, boots are real leather that should not be displayed in sunlight for prolonged periods of time due to sunfading.
Star details are all sequins and rhinestones.
Pigtail accessories are painted rhinestones with a strip of white leather wrapped around them. Bang accessories are lace with rhinestones at the bottom.

Her wand is a painted wood dowel with beads wired to it, painted rhinestones and a pink ribbon bow. Earrings are beads on floral wire.

This is a creation for a line of customs I’m making that are sweet snack themed.
Pony base is a Remco fakie, coated in white gesso. Full body repaint in cameo pink acrylics, eyes painted in my own style. The animal cookies were drawn on leather, then cut and are painted in acrylics and sealed in mod podge. Painted the horn to match the cookies! Painted pony’s nose and hooves to resemble the light brown of the inside of cookie crackers. All paint work on pony is sealed in Artists Varnish.
Mane and tail are rooted in yarn! I unraveled every strand so I could fit them on the rehair tool needle. I’d normally brush out the yarn to poof it out, but decided for this custom I liked the volume and texture as is.
Finished her off with embellishing her in ribbons, bows and rhinestones for a subtle kawaii decoden flair.

Carnival Cotton Candy

Doing a series of treat customs from Remco fakie pony bases! This one was supposed to be purely cotton candy themed, but the “carnivale” vibes kinda took over which I’m okay with. So she’s end up with cotton candy colors, cotton candy hair texture, and I made a few cotton candy on cones with bags around them!

Pony base got coated in white gesso to give the acrylic paint work a texture to bond to. Full body repaint in teal acrylics, eyes painted in my own style. All paint work sealed in Artists Varnish.

Her bagged cotton candy is disassembled cotton balls. 2 white, and 1 pink. Their cones are leather, wrapped in ribbons to detail. Used yellow transparent wrapping paper to cover the cotton candies and tied them on with ribbons.
