Just one thing...........

I think this article is appropriate: Linky link!

Positive things about today... Hmm. Well, I've been browsing Victorian Christmas images and added a book with exactly that title to my wishlist because CHRISTMAS! (Yes I know it's still 3 months away, lol)
Also now my kitty Mitzy has chosen to lie between my legs on the couch, providing me with warmth and cuteness. She's becoming one of the nicest cats I've ever known. Would you believe she comes running to me whenever I'm yelling/ranting or crying and asks for me to pet her? Kinda like she knows her presence is a calming factor. "My kitty sense is tingling. THE TALL GIRL NEEDS ME!" It's really cute and sweet of her, but it does mean I can't sing in the house because she can't tell the difference. :p

@tulagirl thank you for the advice. I find I'm best off on my left side with my head propped up. I'm ok on my back if I have a roll or travel pillow under my neck. Do you get migraines when your neck plays up?
That is a good article @PrincessLio, I find here the media here tend to focus on the negative a lot which is why I tend not to follow it. I'm sure they could find more positive stuff if they wanted to.

On a bright note Lightning & Whiskey went to the vet & got a clean bill of health :) thought Whiskey howled pitifully the whole time
The only thing was we all need to slim down a bit, at least this time Lightning didn't feel the need to take a tinkle in the scales when the vet said he was chubby :D

Yes I do get the headaches. I also get a lot of pain on my face and can't wear my glasses during those episodes. Since I can't see well that keeps me from doing anything. Sometimes I can sleep on my side, but usually that causes me numbness in my arms. I have discovered these baby ice packs at the baby store. I stick them in a sock and put them under my neck at night. They are only icy about 15 minutes. Just long enough for me to fall asleep on neck pain nights.

Got in a cooking mood today, made caramel apple cookies (sandwich style with frosting in the middle) Mmmm and chicken divan for us to eat on during the week and stuffed peppers for dinner tonight :) Been just happily cooking away in the kitchen all day with all the windows open cause it's finally starting to cool off, LOVE that nice fall breeze!!

I use ice packs too when my necks bad, also I've started using a natural plant based anit inflammatory cream from Blackmores which saves me taking a lot of pain killers & I can use chemical based ones. You sound like you have days you could fry an egg on your neck too. I get a bit of pain in my face & the numbness in my hands, it makes me a little clumsy. So long as I keep all my fingers on at work lol. If I lop one or two off I'll be sure to put them in a pony so the urban legend is made real Baaaa ha ha ha

@RedTabbyKitty

Oh yea the whole finger and hands thing not working is taking some getting use to for sure. I use to be so much better at drawing, but I have lost fine motor control in my right hand. If I lean over to draw for more than 30 minutes my neck really gets unhappy. I use to be really good at my sewing too and now I make a lot of mistakes. I can't feel my fingers or my fingers just don't want to work when I sew. It also doesn't help that I can't see what I am doing either lol. Sometimes just picking up a mug with a liquid in it is a challenge as well as, opening jars, water bottle lids and all sorts of hand needed activities. If I type too long I end up in pain so, I can't be on the computer or play games for long. I really like my DSI because, I can actually play with it longer sense it works with a stylus. I miss using a game controller, but I can't really use one now. I have also noticed that my shoulders are weak so trying to do things with my arms above my head is hard. Its even hard to hold a camera for long. All in all though it could be so much worse so, I am not complaining. I really enjoy my lido-cane patches. They have no narcotics in them, they just numb up the nerves. I do not take any pain killers other than ibuprofen. I am just dealing with the pain. Its not easy, but I don't want to be on pain killers. I too have some anti inflammatory cream. I have not really started using it yet.

I'm having to admit I have some limitations now. I take ibuprofen but only on weekends as it makes me sleepy (and while I'm awake happy......... very very happy) I got offered something to numb the nerves but I think I'll give it a miss for now.

Now there's something that makes me happy ibuprofen :D

Last night I ate a lot of popcorn with my girlfriend and puppy dog.

Tonight I am going to visit a friend who is fostering 3 baby guinea pigs. They were abandoned on a river bank and need a lot of positive socialization... AKA I get to snuggle cutie patootie baby piggins and feed them carrots and tomatoes!

Congratulations @Gingerbread!! I'm so happy for you! I'm waiting to know if I can get an internship myself. I'm kind of scared that I'll have trouble adjusting to the everyday grind, but also kind of looking forward to being able to afford things and not worry about breaking the bank 24/7. Yeah it'll be minimum wage, but I don't have to move out, and I'll be able to help my mom with groceries! ...If she lets me, that is.

In other news, I'm working my way towards becoming an encyclopedia of Portuguese folklore and mythology. THERE IS SO MUCH STUFF. Well, that's what you get when your country has been around for nearly 900 years, all the info piles up. On the plus side, woo, general knowledge! :)

Have you got your kittens yet Foofoo.............

I had to wait because I've been gone so much, but they're at my sissy's so I know they'll be mine soon! She is a good sissy. She got me kitties.

Actually, all my sissies are pretty awesome. I'm really lucky in that. I only have two brothers still alive, and one is great and the other is a bag of poop. That's pretty good, still. 6 terrific siblings out of 7. Plus I like all my siblings-in-law. I have a wonderful family.

Got back into dowsing I have miss this

I did have an awesome week with my nephew and weekend with my boyfriend^^ but it is nice to be at home in my own comfy bed too :3 (I wasn't home in the whole week)
