I just finished watching the news (I don't usually as it's depressing) so this thread is the anti-sad

All you have to do is share one thing from your day that was good, heart warming and/or positive :)

Mine is finishing work for the week (YEAH FRIDAY) getting home to my fluffy wuffy bundles of ginger goodness waiting for me :ponylove:

*Hugs the Kits till they squeak*

Although I have 8 bazillion cats here, I am getting two new ones. My partner is threatening my hide, but my middle-little sister has acquired a lilac point and a seal point for me. I must have these kittens. It is imperative to my well being.

I had a tom lilac point when Hank was a baby named Poozer. He got hit by a car when my husband accidentally let him out. I have longed for another. My sister is helping that dream come true. KITTENS! Everyone needs KITTENS!

(Of course, there's 12 outside, but most of those will be adopted out. I HAVE to have two of my own, right?)

YES YES YES, everyone needs to have kittens two at a time, they are a laugh a minute and so much cuteness. You deserve two kittens of your very own Bunny for no other reason than you find so many other kittys furever homes :)

It's actually the height of madness. My inside cat Magical Mouth Melvin is such a hooligan we have to banish her to her carrier some days. To think of kittens running through the house...

Ah well. No one ever said common sense was my strong point!

Yes ... yes it is but you could just train them to be ninja assassins. That's what Leo & Fox are training for.

Obviously Magic is training to be a Chaotic Evil Berserker. I'd prefer ninjas maybe...

maybe.

Today is the one day out of the week that my son doesn't have preschool. So I got to get up just enough to send my 8 year old off to school, then I got to CATCH UP. ON SLEEP.

AND OMG it felt sooo good
I slept in until 10 a.m. which isn't normal for me but it was enough sleep that it felt like I overslept until noon.

Just pure, uninterrupted sleep x.x

So seeing that it was only 10 a.m., made me feel good.

Its not the cuteness I am worried about. Its the sheer naughty behavior that will make items in the house break, disappear, become flying objects, falling objects thrown down stairs and large feline chase combos with six or more kittens that sound like a herd of mad, zombie buffalo's. Then there is the cat box of doom, kitten toots which are something from the deep dark corners of Mordor. Last but not least the quiet, stillness of night that is interrupted by kittens climbing blinds, falling off, hitting the desk, everything on the desk falling off. Kittens are fuzzed up...they fly on me and SCRAtCh with a "who me" look............Tulagirl runs around with cross.:bunny:I only have this one life. I can't take it guys. I can't take it. Yep, holy water and a cross. Don't let them fool you. They cuddle up next to your neck at night and purr purr purr. Then just about the time you fall asleep they chase your fingers and toes and bite the beeejeee out of you. Then if you actually get any sleep at all they slap you in the face in the morning when they are ready to get up. Ahhhhhhh

Something positive...... I am not dead. Sigh sorry not much more I can add.

I have a little frog that wakes me up. He's either in the window unit or has gotten into my room itself. Regardless, his happy trilling wakes me up every day. It wouldn't be bad, but as an insomniac my chances of sleep are small, so he's lucky he sounds so darn cute or I'd hunt him down and eat him whole.

I wake up like a dopehead and stagger through my house going, "WHA?"

I continue to do that all day. WHA?

I have a fuzzy kitty that wakes me up before the sun rises. Who needs an alarm clock. Baaaaaaa I usually wake up in a good mood.

I wake up to crazy cat tag team most mornings. It usually starts with Whiskey clawing the side of the bed but he usually give in pretty easily as he's fairly lazy. Next Leo will walk over me form my feet to my chest & wriggling under the covers and nipping me. If I can resist long enough he'll snuggle in for a little snooze. If all else fails Fox lines himself up on the window sill & jumps down on to me, cute when he was little but now he's over 5kg (11 pounds) I fear internal injury:eek: I'm not exactly a morning person. I don't have insomnia, I wake up a lot to adjust my head & neck or move carefully because I have nerve damage in my neck (they think at the moment) There is a good think about it I get really good anti inflammatorys. They make us happy precious lol

Have you got your kittens yet Foofoo.............

@RedTabbyKitty
I have nerve damage in my neck too. Here is what I do to keep my head from moving over to the side. I made these little floppy pillows that I stick under the right and left side of my head. They are really flat so they don't raise my head. What they do is keep it from moving. I also have to keep a long tube like pillow on either side of me so I won't roll over on my stomach. That is the most painful thing ever if I happen to do that. If you can't sew you can use a thin washcloth or even a travel sized pillowcase folded where you feel comfortable. Vinny is 11 pounds and I think he will reach a heavier weight since he is so big. Chloe is fat and we are not sure why except the vet said the kitten age spay may be her issue. She is like 10 pounds. Vinny wakes me up around 5am every morning. I can sleep fine, but I am tired during the day because he does this to me. Its always him knocking something over, jumping to the floor, flying into the blinds or batting a toy around on the floor. I learned sadly to be a very light sleeper due to a traumatic childhood. My mother is the same way. She and I went through a lot when I was tiny. We never got over it. I hear everything even with ear plugs in my ears. Super Sonic PTSD hearing is what I call it. It could be a lot worse though I suppose. At least with all we went through we both can sleep now. For the longest time we didn't sleep at night much at all. So, things have improved a little.
