I think I just got told off on craigslist!

I have to wonder (if her story of having a daughter is true) why is she posting pics of super rare ponies like Rapunzel to get people to sale to her? And to ask for cheap ponies? I wonder if she isn't really a collector using a story to guilt people into giving her ponies?
 
I think someone in the arena said that the poster contacted them about a post similar to this one over there. I think it was said that she might be a member? You'd think she'd get the hint. I found about 4 posts in my state yesterday. Greedy girlie!

i have only gotten two little nibbles since posting my ad in my area and they were both dead ends :scratch: So i seriously doubt there are that many great pony oppurtunities on craigslist hopefully she has the same luck.

I dont think she would actualy give RARES to her kid would she? That seems to be what she is asking for and I am doubting her "cheap, rare ponies, for my kid" story!
 
No way does she want ponies for her kids...alright commons are ok to give to kids, if they are baity or something, it's cool. But that person is a collector IMHO

Yeah I seen the same here in Ohio. I have been flagging them for weeks! It is seriously an over kill. I doubt she is even a collector!

i checked over the course of a few days and saw postings from coast to coast!:seestars:
if theyre reading this and still continuing to post, it just shows a blatant disregard for craigslist rules and our feelings on the matter.
 
Does anyone have an actual email from this CL multi poster? (not email address- email)
 
Those ads are in St. Louis, MO's listing and Bloomington, IN where I have family. Someone has been very busy, but really, no one knows if the ads have resulted in any great finds. Some people have the time to search every thrift store and flea market, some people have deep pockets and can buy whatever they want off e-bay, some people live in South America and can pay poor children pennies to look for Nirvanas. Isn't everything fair in love and war?

This sounds sooo familiar~ a long while ago, there was an AD for "Wanted Ponies" on the East Coast here in Canada, and the pic the Mom used was Punzie and it was for her daughter......I responded to her ad by letting her know that her chances of getting this particular pony for free or REALLY cheap is next to none and went on to explain about her being HTF.....whether she was playing "naive" and trying to scam someone, I don't know, but I just wanted to see what she had to say.....If my memory serves me correctly, I started a thread on this (on the Arena) and I could possibly find it once the Arena gets back up & running.
 
Wow, she may have invaded Canada also with her wanted ads? Where does it end??

I've already done all I can, if she doesn't get the message, she doesn't get the message. That's fine if she wants the majority of the online pony community to secretly loathe her. *shrugs*

Not really.. because Craigslist is supposed to be local.. and her blanketing the entirety of CL with her ads is just greedy. She's probably a flipper. The rest of us would like some cheap ponies too..
 
I have no issue with a collector trying to get the attention of people who might have ponies in their attic and not know there are people out there that might want them but the fact that she has this whole story about her "daughter" and is looking for rare ponies for cheap bothers me. If she had straight out said she was a collector who was looking for old toys for herself I doubt anyone would have cared she was posting all over the place.

I have no idea if its the same person as the one being spoken of that Teddy found, BUT, its funny how these people keep coming up with Rapunzel and wanting her for free/cheap~ ;)

I haven't checked the Kijiji AD (its like Craigslist) but I'm sure its gone by now....my OP is there with an update of another AD asking for the same thing....
 
This is an interesting thread. Sounds to me Skeen, that the person who confronted you is a collector themselves. Otherwise they wouldn't be so familiar with MLPs going for "hundreds of dollars on e-bay" not to mention, why would they care to respond to your add if they didn't care about MLP.

Maybe they mistook your add for the similar ones being talked about in this thread, thinking it was just another scammer trying to get some ponies for cheap, so they lashed out at you. Not that its an excuse b/c obviously they didn't even read your add very well, or they would know you didn't mention anything about a daughter.

I'm suprised this person has been able to post in so many different states. They must really know how to manipulate CL. So sad....
