Just wanted to double-check the start and end times. Today is already the 12th, so this is due by tonight at 8? Or do we have until tomorrow?

Whoops!
Sorry folks, that was a mistake! It's supposed to close on the 13th, not the 12th. Sorry again, I'll fix that.
 
My work has cut back on my web use at work. Bummer. I dont get home until 7pm in the evenings & I would need time to upload stuff.
Would we be able to make the cutoff time around 9pm on these?

Most of the real steps and bonuses will end at Midnight, so this shouldn't be a problem in the future.

Since 8 is a bit early, I'll give you guys some more time. But you'll have to understand that I'll need a little more time to score as well, so this might mean that scores won't be posted until after the first step is opened... but I should have them scored well before the first step comes to a close.

I'll go ahead and make this practice shot due at midnight, just to get us into the groove.

Ok, I hope I didn't completey screw up the time thing- everyone understood that this practice step ends tonight at midnight (meaning, the next minute after midnight would be the 14th) right? Just checking, I hope I didn't confuse anyone!
 
Sure, that's a great idea. Will do!

Everybody, I just want to let you know a few things: I'm going to open Step 1 before this practice step closes. That's probably how it will be for every step and bonus, as I will not be able to stay up until midnight to open. Also, a note about scoring- it may take me until the next evening after a step closes to score, so please be patient. I'll definitely try my hardest to get this practice shot scored ASAP so you can understand what to expect.

Okayeeeee, I think this answers my confusion in the step 1 witch's brew discussion thread. LOL... Midnight is "attached" to the day leading up to it.

... ... ... (tiny voice) right?... ... ...
 
Midnight on the 16th for the purposes of this Hunt (as midnight can be confusing and taken in different ways) would be the last hour of the 16th, when the clock strikes 12:00 or 24:00 if you're in military time. So the night of the 16th.

Does that help?
 
Bonus step photo?

I want to take a good picture of my ponies - but how can I show it is a shop unless I take a wider angle as well? Can I submit 2 photos to prove it is a shop? Equally, if I take the picture inside the shop, how can I show it is a shop?

EDIT: I have posted 2 for now so you can see it is a shop window, though the sunny evening causes the school across the road to reflect in the window!

Thanks for clearing that up< i was sure that was it but i panicked lol, i love the hunt last year and i doint want to miss any steps my best friend help me all last year and we had a blast.

So it will always be the "last hour" of the dead line date correct?
 
So to be clear... Bonus 1 ends at 12:00AM EST on October 18. So that means it's open from the time it was posted Sunday until midnight Monday night (which is, technically, the start of Tuesday). Correct? I'm just trying to get a grasp on the timing.

It is against the rules to post more than 2 photos so I'll be deleting your second photo. The entry must prove the requirements by itself or adding 'proving' photos opens a huge mess for future entries. Thanks!
 
Skig, you are correct!

However, to make it less confusing, I'm going to try to avoid midnight, that way we can just bypass the confusion all together. I thought it was a great time to choose, but from now on I'll be choosing the exact 24/72 hours past the time of posting. The midnight would sometimes give you a few extra hours, plus it was the witching hour, but this should be more understandable and there's no point if it just gets in the way of the fun!
