Has anyone seen Wave 9 Blind Bags in stores yet?

A box of Wave 9s turned up at my Target today! They weren't there last Friday, but there they were tonight after work! Which just goes to show, you can never check too often. (Rest assured, I'll be checking the other nearby Target soon, too!)

Half the box was gone already, which I guess means I'm not the only one around here eager to see them, lol!

Ugh. One bad thing about living in the woods. Our teeny tiny Wal Mart never gets anything new in. I may well be the only Pony collector in the county seeing how slow the Ponies go off the shelf.

Of course, I couldn't get to Wal Mart right now if my life depended on it. Still iced in. But the temptation is there to go check, just in case!

(So, confession time: how many of you Pony Pals check the numbers on the bags so you know which one you're getting? I know it ruins the surprise, but I buy them all up as soon as I see them so I check to keep from getting too many dupes.)

I don't, but I never even knew about the numbers until about 3 weeks ago.

Oh well, I don't get too many dupes, except for "Crystal" Twilight Sparkle.

Aww, that's a bummer. Some stores near me move stock somewhat slowly, but luckily there are plenty of others that move pretty quick. (Almost too quick, sometimes...)

I always check the codes, until I have a complete set of 24 for my very own. :satisfied:

After that I grab them at random and slip them, MIB, into a big plastic tub in the closet for future use in trades/swaps/sales. Big Box 'O Ponies!

I picked up 7 of them yesterday actually! I felt body types and peeked through the breather holes to see colors and figure out who each one was. (Ahhh yes the good old days when there weren't blind bag codes all over the internet, I remember doing it for the first wave when they first hit and no one knew ANY of the codes yet)

Lol, when I grabbed them the other day I didn't even check the codes, I just snagged everything they had. Didn't get any doubles, but wouldn't have minded if I had. Now I have a list of letters in my phone of the ones I have (I like the letter codes better than the number codes, they're in an easier spot to find and it's easier for me to remember letters), so I won't get doubles until I have a whole set. After that...I'll go back to grabbing two or three at a time without checking. (It's impossible to have too many blind bags, lol!)

I stopped by three Targets while out Christmas shopping yesterday in the Big City (If if has more than a church and a cemetery, it's a big city to us, lol). I didn't have a list ready because I didn't expect to find any, but made one as my better half read of the letters on the back. Ended up with everyone but Mr Cake and Cadance. I really want Cadance too. She's so cute this time 'round. After finding them at one Target we hit two more, just to get as many as possible.

Lucky the spouse is Pony Crazy as well.

That's so cool! I don't let on to my family when I'm doing things like that; they would be baffled. Supportive though they are of my collecting in general, it's best if I don't tell them how extensive my "rounds" can actually be...

Funny enough, a huge portion of my family is nuts for Ponies! Me, the Spouse, my son, my daughter in law, both her daughters, my mum, four of my nieces, two of my nephews, one sister and one brother. The rest just shake their heads and let us do what we do!

I'm sure they think we're batty. :shockpony: When obviously they're the kooks.

What are the codes? I always feel the bags to figure out which one it is. Codes are probably easier tho

I use my smart phone and pull it up when I'm at the store. The other day, I was doing that and a dad saw me and asked if there were codes to find out who was in the bag. He looked so excited. I told him yes, and gave him the site. He was having difficulties with it, so he called his daughter, she was about 6, over so we could show her who was in the bags. One of them was a male pony, which she strongly objected to, and the other one was Sunny Rays. She really didn't want her either; she wanted Pinkie Pie, but there was only two left of the wave 8 ponies and a new box of wave 9. (I think she was collecting wave 8). She settled on Sunny Rays. I just found it fun to help someone with the blindbags, as well as seeing how the girl reacted to what was in the bags. It was pretty cute.
