I've not yet seen them in stores, but I am eagerly awaiting their appearance!

Recently I've noticed that stores in my area are getting spotty on Wave 8 availability. More and more now I'm seeing empty display boxes or none at all. (Except for Toys'R'Us, which all seem to still be carrying mostly Wave 7s.) I'm hopeful that this means Wave 9 is soon to arrive.

Yeah, I know that they are already available at Hot Topic :D
Too bad that there isn't ANY blindbags in my country *cries*

Yup. Hot Topic by me is carrying them, but I'm waiting for the Walmart invasion because i'm NOT paying $5.50 apiece for them.

Yeah when I saw the price of them I was like whaaa? :shockpony:

For some reason the Pueblo Target never has actual Blind Bags. WalMart always does. Who knows why?

I've not checked Hot Topic near me, but if they cost that much there I may as well not even bother. No way am I paying that when I know they will be readily available for half the price if I can just be patient.

I mostly get my blind bags at Target, because I shop there all the time anyway, but I have occasionally found sets at Walmart that Target didn't have (Royal Surprise was one that turned up there, and I haven't seen it anywhere else yet), though for some reason both stores have recently not had any minifigure sets in stock. Target just has empty spaces and Walmart has no spot for them at all. Three Targets and two Walmarts with not a single pony minifigure; it makes me a bit nervous, actually... :surprisepony:

Just an aside, does anyone know how long the Royal Surprise set has been available? I've only seen a couple of them, and now can't seem to find them at all... I expect not to be able to find Apple Family or Pony Wedding (try as I might, *sigh*), but I thought Royal Surprise was pretty new?

I just got Royal Surprise at my WalMart about a week ago Ember, but they didn't have any on Tuesday, just the Pony Lesson Set.

Amazon has one for almost $40, which is crazy.

Yeah, they're all over eBay for crazy high prices, too. :surprisepony:

Guess I'll just keep checking back at Walmart. If it was there once, it'll turn up again!

I do know I'm going to jump on Wave 9 as soon as I spot it. And any of the new sets as they turn up, (Rainbow Favorites, Soaring Pegasus, Daring Pony Story, or Ponyville Newsmaker). Because you can just never tell which ones are going to be all over the place, and which are going to be slim pickings. I thought Elements of Harmony Friends was older than Cake Family and getting close to selling out, because it hardly ever turns up whereas Cake Family is ubiquitous. But when I looked it up, they are both part of the same wave and should, theoretically, have equal availability. Go figure.

Makes me wonder how waves roll out, exactly. Do some sets just vanish fast, because they're popular? Or are there actually fewer of them shipping out from the warehouses to begin with?

It could be regional variations, Ember. Colorado and Arizona are both Western enough that we could be seeing a very different distribution than east of the Mississippi. I haven't seen Elements of Harmony at all, and I had to get Cake Family on Amazon.

Of the new wave, I *have* to find the one with Daring Do. :)

i keep checking but nothing has turned up yet. i am from quebec canada so things normally take longer to get here.

i really like the art on the packaging bag, it is very cool looking .

Just snagged a Rainbow Favorites pack at Target last night! :allecto: The rainbowfied ponies are so pretty! Especially DJ, she looks really good with the musical notes all over. (/brag)

I was so shocked to see it there, and oddly enough there was a Harmony Friends pack on the shelf, too, which are scarce in my area. There were nine Cake Family sets, which is par for the course and all I usually expect to find hereabouts. (Why, yes, I do count how many of each set a store has, why do you ask? :winkpony:)

I kind of hope this means the rainbow pony trios will soon crop up, but at the same time I'm still hoping for Pony Surprise sets, too, so I'm not quite ready for that wave to slip by... *conflicted*

Doesn't Everypony count how many toys are at the store? I always do. :smilepony:
