ETA: Also, the white is closer to Virgin Snow, and the pink is closer to Pussycat. Blizzard and Kitten are more matte.

I agree: most of the SC's I've found at flea markets are badly faded, so her hair is probably more Pussycat than anything.

For anyone needing tinsel, I now have a simpler solution than searching the links in the social group.

I found mine at Jo Ann Fabrics & Crafts. In the thread aisle, there's a section of Sulky Holoshimmer Thread in pretty much any color you need. It looks just like MLP tinsel but is slightly thinner.

I bought from one of the links too. Then I needed to go to Michael's for some Sculpey III for another custom and figured I'd head down the highway to Jo Ann while I was in the area. I wish I could have cancelled my online order. Oh, well, we'll see how they compare when the fly-tying stuff gets here, I guess.

The stuff from The Fly Shop came in like 2 days after I ordered! Now THAT is some good service! I ordered some dollyhair a week and a half ago and it isn't here yet.

My bait has been stripped and washed. She's now drying and will be painted later today. Still waiting on my big order of Dollyhair.

I ordered from dollyhair 2 weeks ago, and haven't gotten my order yet. I also ordered 2 more times after that, and haven't even gotten a confirmation note from the last order. Is this typical of dollyhair anymore? All my recent orders seem to take 2 weeks or more.

On the plus side, the stuff I ordered from the Fly Shop got here right after I paid, so if you need tinsel for your customs, that's the place, lol!

Every time I've ordered from DollyHair its taken at least 2 weeks or more. This last time I ordered I think it was closer to 3 weeks and there wasn't a whole lot of communication going on. I didn't get very quick answers to my questions but it did finally arrive.
Thats one of the great things about RestoreDoll. She ships within 24 hours of your purchase so the hair arrives very quickly. I love her hair but its Saran whereas DollyHair is Nylon. Doesn't matter to me, I love Saran but I think its been said Nylon is easier to style if you're doing something other than straight hair.
I hope your hair arrives soon. I'm waiting on some paint that I 'ordered' that I need to do this pony. So I feel your pain in just sitting around waiting.

My Dollyhair orders usually take about 10 days to arrive. I placed my order on Feb. 23, but it was a $60 order, so I expect it may take longer. Maybe she got swamped with orders in that time period.

I sent my order in on Feb. 24th, and got a confirmation on the 26th.

Alright, my paint came and I made good use of it. Body, symbols and eyes are all painted and done. All thats left is sealing everything and the rehair and she'll be done! I think she turned out great especially since I couldn't find a really clear, big pic of the symbol.
