Seems a little trivial for all the drama IMHO. However, obviously if someone doesn't like pink (I don't and I stated so in my voting) I'm not really going to be fond of a mostly pink pony. *shrugs* There are certain things that sway my vote, but all in all, I just pick the one I like better. The criteria should not matter in the least. Your logic that 'people only vote based on colour and specie' can be used against you too. If someone likes pink, they probably will like the pink ponies and vote for them. It's the same thing. My favourite pony got knocked out early on, so it just goes to show that things will never be obvious in da Madness. Hence the name. :lol:

PS Whistle Wishes will NOT win. Why? Cause Brights Brightly will.

i won't feel quite so bad about WW getting as far as she has if BB lays the smackdown and takes it home. i've gotten so irritated by the sudden rabid WW fanbase that i'm tempted to stick my WW in the oven out of spite. i actually didn't have much problem with WW when i first got her - her colors and symbol are nice and all - but her pose just bugs the everliving CRAP out of me, so it irritates me even more to see so many people voting for it. for as much as people complained about G3 unicorns having stubby horns in comparison to G1, i'm simply stunned that people like WW, with her stubbiest of stubby horns.

no it can't, because i like all colors and all species. the things that sway my vote are poorly-designed symbols (*COUGHSILVERRAINCOUGH*), color-COORDINATION (which is different from simply being violently allergic to a particular color), personality, and (in some cases) pose. i'm actually weighing the overall design of the pony, instead of just voting "UNICORN YAEYZ!" or "PINK PONY, BOOHISS!"

Silver Rain is a weirdo and an uggo. First of all there's the issue with her name. It doesn't fit. Why? Well, for starters: she's got a heavily blue colorscheme. Periods. Now if anyone could explain to me what blue hues and a redpink bowtie have in common with silver rain I would be overjoyed.

Second of all, I don't understand why so many people are attracted to her. To me she looks like a cheap Bowtie copy with that humongous ribbon on her butt. Plus she is white (like Bowtie) and in Bowtie's pose. And the blue on her legs looks just pretty nauseating to me. Like someone dropped her in a bucket of squished Smurfs.

Brace yourself, here comes the anti-climax: I'll buy her anyway. :twisted:

The things that affect my pony preference are:
POSE! (The most important factor for me.)
Body design/proportions
Symbol
Color combo

For example, I love everything about Comet Tail...except her pose. Can't stand that wierd open mouth on her, so I voted for Whistle Wishes.
And I tend to vote against the current G3 pegasi, because I don't like the way the wings are designed or the bodies are positioned. The exception is Star Catcher, who I love love love!
On the other hand, I own almost every pony in the diva pose, regardless of color or symbol, just because I love the pose so much it outweighs other factors.

I predict and HOPE that it will be Whistle Wishes vs. Brights Brightly ... in the end .... While I would like Whistle Wishes to win in the end because I like her more, I predict that BRIGHTS BRIGHTLY will win the whole thing, since she seems to be more liked by people than Whistle Wishes.

I wrote that pretty early on, shortly after this thread started.

Heheh... while I made a number of other incorrect predictions early on, it is still very possible that my overall prediction in the end might be correct. We'll see!

Yeah, I'm still predicting that Brights Brightly will win the whole Madness. Well see if I'm right.

On the other hand, though, I still HOPE that Whistle Wishes will win the Madness though, since I like her more. I like her color pattern more. (I just think that Brights Brightly seems more popular with people.) I know that I'll be voting for Whistle Wishes in the championship heat. While I know that some members might dislike Whistle Wishes' pose, I REALLY like her pose! I really do prefer her pose over Brights Brightly's pose. I like how it is dynamic, and I actually like her cute "stubby" horn! Reminds me of a G1 baby unicorn! And hey, we're all free to have our own favorites and preferences, right??

Brights Brightly is cool too... I like yellow ponies!

And hey, if Whistle Wishes wins the whole Madness, even though my prediction would be wrong, I think it would be GREAT because she is my favorite in this Madness!

i think whistle wishes is going to win, as much as it pisses me off to say so. it seems like her followers are a lot more... enthusiastic. everyone voting for BB (yours truly excluded) was voting in more of a "eh, i guess BB's better" way.

Teh Brights will win!!! Whistle Wishes has nothing on the yellowness of our girl Brights.
'Sides, she's already in the lead by... 11%? I think Brights can hold it for the rest of the poll's lifespan. I bet she can increase her domination too! Because Brights is just koo like that.

Actually, I thought that the Brights Brightly fans were more enthusiastic. I mean, they're the ones posting more glamour shots of Brights Brightly, and the picfic and such. There have been less glamour shots posted of Whistle Wishes.
