This makes me have a question though, as i have neither g1 nor g3 sparklies. I saw a post from someone about like, pet peeves with g3's, and one said 'i wish the g3 sparklies were like the g1's.'

To me the sparkle bodies look identical!

That was probably me. ^^; The plastic and glitter itself looks identical but what I meant was that I liked the color combos and themes of the original sparkles a lot more than the new ones.
 
The only other difference I can think of is the glitter is smaller in the G1s than the G3s. ^-^

DigitalDuckie - I swear, you look just like me in that picture in your sig. o_O (If that's you, that is. :p)

Sunspot was one of the first ponys I ever got as a little girl, I love her. I LOVE your custom - she is very cute!

What a coincidence - I was just coming here to post pictures of her finished, lol, and I was glad it got bumped up so I didn't have to look for it. :p I've had her done for about a week now, finally, I just hadn't gotten around to getting pics taken until now. :p

Kar, as far as Sparkles go, I love them, too - they were always favorites of mine! I kept her mane long simply because I think it's so pretty and I couldn't bring myself to cut it. :oops: I still need to trim it up some, as I haven't done that yet. I would LOVE to make a Napper if only they had a yellow one. :( She is the only G1 Sparkle I don't have yet, heh. I do have a Flower Garland here that I'm going to make into a Star Dancer when I have the time - have all the materials, I just hope that I have enough tinsel, lol. And I have ideas for the other two Divine Shines, but I don't have extras of them yet. ;) (Actually, I unfortunately don't even have a TT or FG for myself - I bought them on sale specifically for customizing, and boy, was that hard!)

Anyway, thanks so much for the wonderfully sweet compliments, everyone - they are very much appreciated. ^-^

See, and there's tons of Flower Garlands around me...I had a dream about making a cool custom out of one, but I think a custom of Twinkler would be spiffy :shock:

Ajcoecoe...GAH!!! I love her!! She's gorgeous, especially when standing next to her G1 counterpart :D Sparkles are some of my favorite G1's and G3's!
 
Omg, I love sparkle ponies! I think that Sunspot doesn't get as much credit as she deserves either. I love her! You did such a great job with her and I'm super jealous! She looks really well done, bravo!

Silver, I want to make a Twinkler out of Glitterbelle, but I'm afraid I'll flunk on the wings. :( I'm just afraid they'll look goofy, because they, of course, won't be see-through like the rest of her, unless I find a way to make decent wings w/out using Sculpey. :p

OH YEAH!! LMAO, I'm such a dork. I totally forgot about the wings! Hmmm, that's quite a challenge D:
 
Yeah... but I went to a meet back in 2003 (So. Indiana Meet), and we did these little plushes (w/ those old patterns), and she had the neatest dark purple, sparkly fabric, so I made a Twinkler (never did finish her - whoops!) If I can get ahold of some of that material, perhaps I can do something w/ that! :p
 
G3 Sunspot is absolutely gorgeous! They are cute together too!!!!
