I know, there seem to be Bronies all over the internet... but where are they in real life? At this point it seems like they are just made up figments of the internet. Like do a search on 'my little pony' and all these guys wearing pony t-shirts and standing in pony isles pop up. But seriously, where are they in real life?

I would have loved to see that van. XD

I actually ran into a few bronies at Tru once. I recognized them when they started rambling off pony names knowingly lol

3 of my RL male friends are proud Bronies, 2 collect the toys, one with a new 'Dash hair dye job LOL

My big brothers a brony, he's actually the one who got me into MLP toys xD (Although he's hates all generations pre-G4) I've made quie a few customs for him, and he demans I go with him everytime we go pony shopping xD

I met one once. The younger brother of a friend of my friends (if that made sense..). It was...kind of scary. We watched some FiM together and he was singing along with the songs, pointing out some of those background chars that bronies seem to adore for no apparent reason, and even pointed out an error in the animation. Also had some ponies in his pocket.

I mean I thought us general pony collectors were nuts but...

I know a few bronies. My brother, for one, is obsessed. He's saving up to get a Rarity tattoo on his bicep. My best friends brother is also a brony. One of my ex boyfriends is a fan and the creepy guy who used to have a crush on me is a major brony. Never seen any of them with a t-shirt though.

I was in Toys R Us and this guy in his 30s walked past me. He was wearing a Princess Celestia t-shirt. He grabbed 5 Twilight Sparkles and ran out of the aisle. o_O

My experiences with bronies have only been positive :) I can tell you that they will gather at Brony meet-ups - July's BroNYCon had around 90 bronies, and it was so much fun! I then met a few who swung by my table at Pony Fair, and they were absolutely delightful. I co-hosted a Boston meet-up last month, and nearly 30 local bronies came out of the woodwork to attend. Bronies are everywhere...they're just occasionally hard to spot ;)

How's that scary? He's just doing what he likes. >.<

I have to say I am creeped out though when people write fan fiction about ponies with romantic relationships and/or create pony stuff with gorey violence (like that "Luna game" thing for instance). But bottom line is, as long as you have good intent, you can do whatever you want. It's not anyone's place to reject well intentioned actions. :)

Iunno, D-Brite, some romantic fanfiction can be cute if written in the right way. I'm talking clean romantic fanfiction, of course. My pony OTP isRarityxFluttershy lol

I see. well clean is definitely a plus. like I said, as long as you have good intent, you can do whatever you want. anything. :)

Because it's obnoxious. Any ridiculous obsession is 'scary' no matter the fandom. I'm sure plenty of people would think I was scary if they knew I had several hundred My Little Ponies in my tiny bedroom. It's just a matter of opinion? Anyway he was a nice kid, not saying he wasn't, but he is just one of those fanboys that is a little too obnoxious, in my opinion.

My mom's probably not gonna like that I put this out there, but I'm going to anyway because you need to know how your words make people feel. She said that you're not someone she'd want to meet because you sound judgemental, intolerant, etc. Bottomline is that people like him are not doing anything wrong, so why can't you just be okay with it? You are a pony person, so you *should* understand, but apparently you don't, just because his interest in ponies is done in a different way than yours. It's no different than if a brony makes fun of you for liking ponies that are not G4s.... :(

I'm sure that there have to be a few hidden Bronies among my legion of online and real-life friends; we're all a little kooky and just the sort of people that would get into a television show to this extent.

Regarding fan art, fic, and such: I think that some of it is creepy; however, I think that the interest and creative expression is OK as long as they aren't hurting everyone. An interest in cartoon ponies seems fairly harmless. :)

Yes... as long as you have good intent, you can do what ever you want. Sorry I keep saying that, its a favorite quote from my spirit guide... :)

I know a few guys from back in high school who became bronies, and I met one at a party a while back. The ones I know IRL generally seem to be pretty nice guys with a nerdy side (which is awesome, I love nerds). I wouldn't call them creepy or anything.

One of my friends is a brony. He doesn't collect the toys but he has some customs I made for him. One of his friends and a cousin are also bronies.

My OTP is Lyra x BonBon. I'm not much of a shipper, but I could easily see Fluttershy / Rarity or Applejack / Rainbow Dash.

I went to a brony meetup and there were some really nice guys there, and also a smattering of semi-creepy ones, and also a few guys who were obviously only there because their girlfriends dragged them there and were trying to distance themselves from this whole "MLP" thing. It was pretty fantastic hearing all those guys singing along to Winter Wrap Up.

Honestly I would have been spooked too. Some people are just too much when it comes to liking something. Yes I get excited about pony stuff. But its not the very air I breathe. Some folks, its hard to explain are like that with ponies or anime or other fandoms. They eat, breathe, sleep, thinking, everything with that fandom.
