MLPTP EVENT BLOCK PARTY: Never Have I Ever - PONY EDITION!!

Yes one time when I was thefting at goodwill I saw a G3 sky wishes
It was. At the end of the toy Ill and I thought final after years of wanting her I hurry down the Ill and just before I get there an old lady grabs her I'm thinking no at that point I looked around while following her around she put it three time and pick up right after putting it down finally she put it down at the checkout and left I
Grabs her and left

I have never done this. If I ever find ponies at the thrift store, which is rare, no one else is interested in them. I did watch a girl with her mother at the flea market flip-flop over a BBE Baby Shady with regrind that they ended up paying way too much for.

Since I think this is very creepy and rude, no matter the product, no. Not that there are enough ponies or people at thrift stores to do this anyway.

But seriously, if someone got the product first, then it’s theirs, and being jealous and stalker-ish about it is petty. Just save the money for other future ponies.

No, but depends on what is considered “stalking” here I guess...?

I haven’t followed another shopper. I’ve certainly noticed when others have picked up ponies when thrifting (gotta keep an eye on the competition).

I am guilty of hovering (very close) by as staff put new toys out on the floor though. But I never get in their way. I’ve worked at thrift store in my younger years and there’s nothing worse than being mobbed when you exit the sorting area to put fresh “product” out. So, I always leave them space to do their thing - then it’s my time to shine. Lol Also, I take a glance at what’s in the carts - then I know where I need to hit right away.

When did my life become this? Doh!!

I'm guilty of seeing the box marked "Hasbro" and asking if I "could please see what's in that box".

Never at a thrift store but I have stalked a few Walmart people and swooped in when they put the pony back.

Hmm, I dunno about stalked... but I have seen people holding ponies at flea markets, gasped, and asked 'where did you get that pony from!?' and skittered off to see if there were any left! ;] I suppose the pleading desperation in my eyes could be seen as a signal to 'give me pony, give me pony NOW!'

Lavender Letters is relieved to discover that so many of our members are too polite (or don't have the opportunity) to stalk others. "Let's move onto more appropriate prompts..."

ROUND SIX: Never Have I Ever... beheaded a pony for cleaning, customizing, or restoration! (Or just because...)

Many times. I do it when I clean or paint a pony.
Is it bad I say"off with their heads " while I do this.

First time actually responding to this... This is fun, but I'm not looking to play seriously, here. Just thought I'd chime in. :)

I've definitely pulled off ponies' heads to clean them. Many, many times. Mostly for cleaning, but a few times for (potential) customization ideas. I've never actually tried taking off a G4's head, I don't think... but G1 and G3? Had to do it so many times, now, I've lost count. XD; At the start I was a little nervous at taking their heads off, but now the only thing I struggle with is if the glue is particularly stubborn.

(and just going back to check on the previous asks... just for my own personal amusement... :) )
1) Yes: I've gone to every pony-carrying store, in my search for ponies for my swap partner
2) No: Not put off cleaning or other housework to clean ponies.
3) Yes: I have found a Mimic in the wild! Her hair was cut and her body has a few odd marks on it I can't remove... but you can bet I snagged her the second I saw her in the thrift store! :D
4) Yes: I have a couple of the G4 cartoon trading cards, but never actually seriously sought them out. I also do collect the cards that come with the G4 blind bags.
5) No: never stalked a person with a pony in a store.

I have for all three purposes. I've made 50+ customs over the years, so it's off with their heads to rehair. I beheaded my Argentine Windy to rehair/restore her. Cleaning is different. If the neck seam is sealed and there are no outward signs of inner funk, I leave them alone. If the seal is partially broken, though, I will take it the rest of the way and separate.
