Unfortunately- no we are not accepting drawn entries for this. Some people don't have a costume/outfit that represents the 80's so they are making their own (as well as using paints). You don't need to be an expert customizer for this one. All you need is i-m-a-g-i-n-a-t-i-o-n! (cough*southparkreference*cough).

First off...Hammer pants for ponies are HARD. I was going for Cindi Lauper and Mc Hammer ponies but it kinda strayed from the original thought LOL. So much fun though!!

My last minute entry isn't anything special, but I did my best to make her and I match.

Her first picture will be her entry picture, the rest are just to show you how she turned out.

Her body was covered in red pen that I COULD not get off of her, so that's what is showing through in some of her pictures... and I know she's not a difficult pony to do, but she's my first ever attempt to customize a pony, EVER. Hope you enjoy

And last but not least me (attempting to match my pony, makeup crimped hair, shirt and all)

Nice job on your baby she is cute for your first custom. I like your hair too. I didn't have time to totally 80's myself up. This contest sure brought back memories tho. I loved my lite brite so much i wish i could find my old one from when i was a kid.

I just bought a lite brite cube cause I know my mom had to have gotten rid of mine, and play with that... though i remember having a lot more peg's then the new one's come with.

and thank's I had to heat that crimper up forever and her hair still didn't take it like I wanted.... guess that mean's it's time to buy a new crimper.

Here are my ponies! I hope it's okay if the ponies are just dressed up and not customized! :] (I'm also putting in captions, but they're just for fun!) I hope they're not too big!

First pony: Pretty In Pink Blossom! She's not fitting into her spandex leotard and legwarmers so well anymore (note the mesh bow placed artfully to hide where it won't close in the back), so it's time for a Jane Fonda workout! In her blue eyeshadow and appropriately 80s accessories, of course! You can do it Blossom! (Although I'm not sure if you'll ever get down to "Sweetheart Sister" size.)

Second pony: Speedy Stardust! This pony is a huge fan of David Bowie's rock persona Ziggy Stardust, and she's incorporated some of it into her own style! She's got her Swatch, bracelets, and dramatic Ziggy makeup; she's all ready for the concert!
