hello, looking for some advice.
In a reply to another post of mine someone mentioned that older ponies might not be safe for kids. This was rather sad for me because I had been looking forward to giving my much loved childhood collection to my kids.
Does anyone know for sure how harmful they may be? I know there is a risk from choking from small accessories, but aside from that how dangerous are the chemicals in the ponies during normal play?
Obviously many of the people here grew up with them and we're still here, but as plastic ages it may leech more bad stuff.
Does anyone know if any G1 ponies had lead on them ?
Google seemed to give mixed results for me, some people saying 'Oh they're fine don't worry" and others acting as if vintage toys were nuclear waste!
Would love to get a reasonable assessment of just what is in them and how safe or not safe they likely are.
Thank you!
