I really like the separate twins idea from earlier in the thread, or if not that, then some sort of difference to separate her from Posty! Since the hair colors seem unchangeable, maybe a subtle difference could be reversing the hair stripe order?

I voted "other" since it really depends on the final product and the price, I can see myself going either way. She IS really cute though, I would definitely be tempted!! :Posty2:

Voted other. Honestly it's a cute idea. No objections to her looking exactly like the big Posty either. :) Would she be in the rearing pose pictured or is that something that might change? (Do personally adore the rearing baby pose!)

Only reason I voted other is likely wouldn't decide if she'd be one that was a "must" until after she was up for sale and a final picture of what she looks like was available.

Assymetric symbol, with left and right flank having one bubble each.

OR, make her Twice-as-fancy
I appreciate the idea, and I caution everyone that the more a design changes (different symbols on each side, TAF, etc), the more the price point will go up, if these options are even possible at all. I am limited to the constraints that are presented to me.

I like starbeam's idea for the twins, and MintamenaPie's idea for some different cute names. Maybe we don't have a chat box, but we can find something similar. Idk, Baby Quote and Reply?

Littletabby83's idea for a pet of some sort is adorable, though I think that would be less possible. Maybe she could have some accessory relating to the forum, like a cardboard laptop. OR, I would think a mouse (like a computer mouse!) would be an appropriate pet.
At this time, we have only planned to have one forum mascot, but we are listening to everyone's comments :)

Please note that a set of twins would likely cost as much as the original Posty, and any accessories would add considerably to that cost. As we would like to prioritize offering a MLPTP pony to those for whom the original Posty was out of their budget, I'm not sure we could do add-ons, but your ideas are very cute :)

Could we do a Posty enamel pin? I would definitely open my wallet up for that!
Stay tuned in 2024 ;)

Yes, she would be in the rearing baby pose.

I couldn't afford Posty, so id love if there was a lower priced baby Posty for me to get instead!
This is our main interest right now -- to make as many people happy as possible by having a pony that is both desirable and affordable. It is a very difficult balance to maintain.

I appreciate everyone's creative ideas, and I encourage you to keep sharing them, just keep in mind that any design changes like different left/right symbols, TAF symbols, making a set of twins, and other such changes will push Baby Posty much quicker into Posty's price range than you might think. The process is complicated, and there are many limitations to what it's possible to do.

I hear you, creative thinkers--but I also hear those who would need this pony to be under a certain price point. ;)

At this time, please assume that the pony will resemble the mockup image, as that is what is possible for us to have made.

Gotcha. I think a lot of us heard “baby“ and started offering ideas to make her look more like a unique baby and didn’t realize that it was more meant as a “chibi version of the original for people who couldn’t afford her.” <3

@MintamenaPie ’s right! I think a lot of us focused on the “Baby” and “difference” part and got carried away :lolpony:
Still, changes made or not, I think a lot of us would absolutely love a smaller Posty regardless!

I’m all for the idea of a baby posty with some differences. I think the forum would be able to raise more funds that way, since more people would probably buy.

Or a smaller run for people that couldn’t afford the large size or want the small size too sounds good.

so solf please
The factory cannot do so softs, sorry.

Please remember that it may not be possible to deviate much from Posty's original design. This is factory-related and not something I can change.

Smaller runs unfortunately cost more to do :(

:Posty1:<3:Posty2:

Everyone, please kindly assume at this time that the pony in the mockup is the pony you would be receiving if we send the idea to production. We appreciate everyone's comments and ideas, however we ask you all to please trust that we know what is and isn't possible based on the production process and resources we have become familiar with through bringing Posty to life, and if the design were able to undergo the kind of drastic changes suggested in this thread, we would have openly asked for your creative input and ideas. The options in this kind of production are extremely limited and not something we are able to change.

As it is, we presented the best option that we could in order to provide you with a Baby version of Posty at a price point more friendly to more people, with all of Posty's beauty in a cute and more compact little package. <3

That said, for all who are excited by the idea of Baby Posty arriving for adoption sometime in 2024, please place your votes by 12/15/23 at 11:36 AM EST. If you have already voted, you may change your vote at any time.

If we get 100 "Yes" votes, we will begin to move forward with the production!

<3 Thank you for your support <3

Oh no! I didn’t realize it would cost more to make less.

Would it be another run of 300 for the baby Posty’s then?

Thank you, Jewel! :purpleheart: Happy to hear the rearing pose is the one she would be in if made.

I do love Posty being available to more at a more affordable price. Fingers crossed for everyone! Hoping everyone who would like a Baby Posty has the chance to snag her, if made. :Posty2:

We're taking baby steps LOL *pun intended* so while it's wonderful to hear you get excited with ideas it's definitely a process with many considerations. Maybe down the road we could have a Posty Wish thread where we could get everyone's deepest Posty desires but in the meantime we just gotta work with what we can <3 :Posty2:

The exact number is yet to be determined :)

Pony ideas are always fun  But I am sorry for getting a little carried away :lolpony:
No worries! The whole thread got pretty carried away, LOL. We love to encourage members' creativity, it's just that in this particular case, our options are very limited and it simply isn't possible to branch off of the original design at this time.

Yes, the rearing pose is what we have been offered, so that is what we would be going with :)

In terms of price, I would encourage everyone to please consider how extremely expensive projects like these are to produce, especially in smaller quantities. This kind of project is not as simple as asking a factory to create X and having the product produced. There are countless costs along the way that add up to a rather staggering amount when all is said and done.

Maybe make her a newborn, not baby (or which mold HQG1C had) to save on material cost?
We have only been offered the rearing baby pose, other molds are not an option at this time. :)

I love Mommy and Baby sets, so, of course, YES!
