(Fyi I'm hijacking my own thread, so ignore the first few responses about Tuneful's hair <3)
YAY RECYLCING!

ANYWAYS: I've been eyeing the sitting ponies Bubbles and Seashell to customize into my persona. But I know they were the only two ever made in this pose, so I just have to ask... would you guys absolutely murder me if I customized one of them?

According to AC's FAQ Blog , both Barnacle and Tuneful have Firebird.
 
There are quite a few bait seashells out there.. but I don't think Bubbles is as common.
I want to customize one as well,so people can chop both of us up..and throw us in an egg cooker.
 
i guess it's depend upon the condition your bait was in. but really, if you want to do it, why should it matter what everyone else thinks? if you'd get more enjoyment from your persona trgan a Seashgell/Bubbles, then i say go for it!

I just don't want to get shunned ^^;; I know there's a lot of ponies out there that people would freak out about if they got customized.
 
if she's not bait, then i would not do it. i'd rather get a bait one.
seashell often gets discoloured and when that happens there's not much to do.
a bait one i'd say go for it, a good condition one (doesn't matter what g1 it is for me) no :p

Try Soft Scrub for it..it might get rid of the discoloration..
 
I actually found one that's pretty discolored and it looks like it's got some major symbol rubbing. -hopes she can get it-
 
Been there, done that! hehe, actually one of my first customs was a Bubbles who was less than worthy, though I've yet to finish her and have actually debated re-doing because the paint started peeling on me. I knew so little then... I'd say go for it.
 
If it's not able to easily be repaired or rehomed I'd say do it.
 
Yep, go for Seashell. Her purple dye is very prone to bleeding out (even acetone nail polish remover can make her bleed purple dye -- probably similar to the "white" Bluebelles.) It's not discoloration you can really fix without a lot of risk, which is just not worth it, IMO.
 
My own little rule of thumb is that ponies should only be customized if they're abundant, and if the customization will make them into something nicer than they were before. :3 Hope that helps your moral dilemma.
 
seashell is often discoloured..her purple isn't always perfect........ not bubbles. Bubbles is often very good & yellow.
they are the most common sitting ponies, we don't talk about the greek sitting pony, which is white..and untouchable ! ^^

If you find a bait seashell I think that no one is going to kill you for that :)
