I will defend myself one las t time...

Does anyone remember last year when my Big Lots was the only one in the country to receive Cupcake, Sweetsong, Serendipity, and Bumblesweet at $1.99? How much did I charge per pony to everybody? You guessed it, $1.99. My mom finally convinced me to charge 50 cents extra for all the gass I was wasting to get the things daily for everyone. I helped many people with not one red cent of profit. (The 50 cents extra only took place on the last three small transactions, so I was actually losing money). I did this only to help out others.

I know members on here benefitted, as I know some of you were customers.

I'm not at all how some of you paint me to be which is fine. I'm a good person who is being called all sorts of things for no good reason.

Too bad your calling me stingy (without one correct spelling mind you) has been debunked.

Marshall's is also a division of TJ Maxx, so it's possible they might carry odd assortment of old ponies too.

Just a note, it looks like these ebay babies are from the same release as last year because they still don't have names on the package. I would think if Hasbro were producing them again, they would fix the packaging to include their names. So that means there's still probably a limited supply.

I am sure someone will find them as some point.

Some stores aren't done putting thier holiday toys out, so maybe it will still be a bit until they are out.

I'd keep an eye on what goes up on ebay. That's a good indicator of where these things are being released. If a bunch are listed from a place other than Florida, then it's more likely they'll be more widespread.

WG can we PLEASE stay on the topic as per the mods' request??? Go defend yourself in the TF forum. -.-

Anyway, back on topic:

Any sign of them yet? I'm dying to get them for a decent price. XD

I checked Family dollar, Dollar General and Big Lots and nothing here in KY

But my guess is it has to be a place with even digits(dollar amounts). She said she paid $5 for each, there arent many places to have even amounts....

Does Florida have any "5 Below" stores? They just started popping up in Jersey about a year or so ago and they have even dollar amounts for their prices.

Well, I'm back and found nothing but lots of ugly fakies!!!!!!!

this thread has gone so far OT..

the point is to find out WHY they're in Florida, not to confirm that they aren't in your state. come on guys, we kinda realized they weren't, that's the point in making this thread and calling it "WINTER BABIES IN FLORIDA." I'm not pointing fingers at anyone at all here, but .. yeah, jeez.

ANYWAY. in the last thread, I said I would email one of our Florida sellers. I told her politely that I was interested in buying them, and that other collectors and I were wondering where they came from. And I added that it wouldn't effect my interest in the ones she was selling.

This is the reply I got:

I'm sorry, I'd love to tell everyone where but I can't, it's my little secret. I will tell you they are considered damaged merchandise and honestly there aren't many cases left in the world... Sincerely, Cheryl

I emailed her again, thanking her for the answer and telling her I wasn't looking for a specific location like an address, just where/how, like from a warehouse, etc. We'll see what she says.

i hate greedy sellers like that. "it's my little secret, teehee!" guh. >T

well, I dunno. you would do the same, wouldn't you? it's obviously a lucrative buisness investment for her, and you don't know her situation (need money, sick kid, etc). I don't know, I'm more inclined to side with her because she was polite about it. She didn't have to reply to the email at all, but took the time to try and help.

Hmmm. Have to disagree. I just re-read the first post and I don't think we're going OT. The original poster was just saying they were being found in FL....not asking why or asking for theories or really asking anything. It's an open-ended post saying that they're out again. I actually think it's very relative that people are posting whether or not they're being found in their area -- it's helping to answer the question of whether or not this is only a Florida thing, a fluke or if they are indeed being widespread.

Anyway, I think the last thing we need is another topic about these resurfacing winter babies - I think that topic in general belongs here. Helps keep the boards clean. That being said, thanks for the information. I wish the sellers were more helpful, but I understand their situation.

Are there any "C-mart's" or "Tuesday Morning's" around that area? I know we have them here and they sell "damaged merchandise" from larger stores. Rabid Muffins found a Breyer horse at one a few weeks ago for a severe discount, apparently just because the box was dented. There was nothing else I could find wrong with it.

Man I wish I was still down there so I could help search! XD

Actually, they could be in other states. Someone in Canada has several sets as well. They may be in another location but they just went to FL first.

This thread was actually a duplicate of another thread. The point of that thread was to find out where they were and if they were in other places. It makes perfect sense to continue the search around the country. Another store may get them.

I can totally understand why the seller didn't want to tell.

Contacting Hasbro might be a good idea.

Man I wish we had those up here. I would love a store like that.
