do you think prices for the original ponies will go down becauce of the reissues? Will it perk up more interest in G1's? Do you think prices will go up or down?

i thought it would be $14 / £14 ? not sure if I remember :s

I would think that it may increase G1 prices? Because they will probably generate interest in them and people will head to ebay in search of 'real' G1's. Great for sellers, not so great for buyers. Maybe I'll wait until then to sell my doubles lol

I think the prices can go up. Seeing the new G1 in the shelves could be the reason for starting to collect. Maybe someone saw the G3 ponies, and don't like them that much but fogot how sweet the G1 ponies are.

I think the prices will surge up, but then taper back down pretty shortly after. It will GET people interest, but it won't KEEP them interested, you know what I mean?
There's also the possibilty of a flooded market as everybody is reminded "I have some of those in my attic..." and starts dumping them on ebay, and that would only be bad for prices.

I hope they don't go up too much! I don't have any of the originals yet (I'm such a sad G1 collector...), and I'd hate to think my chances of getting them could be ruined, lol. I dunno, I don't think it will really effect prices too much.

Call me ridiculous, but I think we'll see a lot of people try to pass anniversary sets off as though they are true vintage. I'm hoping that there are some key differentiators. I mean, heaven forbid that they're the exact same molds and still have a 1982 copyright on the hoof.
